The brim on that hat is obscene.

It was acceptable in the 80s.

The hat and brim are now reminding me of a cartoon character whose face was, I think mostly concealed by headgear like that. For some reason I am thinking of a character who always accompanied his rather officious dad. I have a horrible feeling thinking about this and trying to come up with the characters names will take up a lot of my weekend.

I am out of the country at the moment so can't check the inter web as often as at home.

I was so pleased to see a big long thread on us being taken over. Imagine my dissapointment after reading it all through to find it is mostly about eastie.

This is worse than the itk thread in GM for dashing hopes.

Mind you we are going to look pretty silly on H&V if there is some truth in it.

Best to keep an open mind I think.

I'm sure the credibility of that site will diminish pretty quickly if it turns out to be a load of bollocks.

What will happen to their credibility if it turns out true ?

In fact, because I looked at it quickly whilst away on business I didn't even clock who it was from. I just remember thinking 1) that someone would be in trouble and 2) it's good to have another site to look at occasionally
Richard I am sorry there was no porn available in your hotel room and you had to resort to dubious sites!

It's possible.

What amazes me is the amount of people that have posted on there claiming that they 'know stuff' and posting all sorts of stories. Why post it now? It's ridiculous.

I am thinking more of a Wacky Races type cartoon (possibly even Wacky Races) where the kid dresses the same as his dad, attempting to keep order and repeatedly failing. I am now not even sure that the headgear particularly resembles that cap but I definitely have a pair of cartoon characters stuck in my head.

thing is you can act ITK about anything and one day it might just come true. One day Randy will sell the club. The fact that it is being claimed that it is already sold is some claim to make. That is, Randy Lerner has sold a Premier League football club, a league which is one of the most watched and followed in the world from under the noses of every media outlet would be be beyond astonishing. And that a select few know about it and in particular one person has chosen a start up forum to make that claim just doesn't seem right does it?

I cant see Thompsons taking us over. The sales of the Beano and the Dandy are not buoyant enough.

Nor me.

I hope not, too, they're proven liars. For starters, they can't be twins, as there are THREE of them.

Maybe they each had a twin. Which would lead nicely into a joke about having a threesome with the girl (was it Allanah or something like that?) and her twin ending in a 'he had a beard' type punchline.

It looks to me like Al Oerter has thrown his discus a little too far and its landed in Ms Currie's head!
