Having just caught up with seven pages I have realised that we may or may not be taken over very soon and someone may or may not be banned from H&V.But what really jumped out at me was the mention of Arthur Negus and the nostalgic return of the word 'Div'.

He could sell 24% and there would be very little the other shareholders could do to stop Randy doing what he wanted, especially if they're not brought onto the board of directors.

There are some minority rights offered under the CA2006 to minor shareholders, but they're pretty limited.

Pretty sure there was a rumour that we were about to be sold to a Qatari consortium at the backend of 11-12 so nearly two years on and nothing has happened despite the cost cutting so I'm not holding my breath on this one!

I think he'd be very open to new outside investment. It would be interesting to see whether that would extend to giving up a percentage of his ownership in the club.

Hasn't that been an open secret for about 2-3 years now. I thought Faulkner had said something about looking for partnership investors but might have dreamed that.

Reminds me, remember 11 years ago when Venezuelan billionaire, Gustavo Cisneros, was going to buy us? seemed like a genuine prospect at the time.

Who was the Villa fan that, years back, advertised to buy the old Villa shares for about £50 knowing full well that they were worth a lot more than that? The original 1960's issue shares.

I remember reading the article in H&V, he bought a new kitchen with the proceeds and his wife sacked him off about a week later or something.

Yea, well that 1996 League Cup will be an antique before we win another trophy at this rate.

It was Percy and he didn't know how much they were worth.

I'm sure in the article he said he did know which is why he kept buying them.

I remember asking for Villa shares for Christmas one year, I was about 11, so it was late 80s. My folks laughed at me and I got a computer instead.

Lost out on a few grand because of that and never forgave them...

That's how I remembered it too.

Afternoon gents. Well, such excitement! We are about to be taken over,or not as the case may be. An affable (and in my opinion harmless)poster appears to have upset the powers that be, no doubt with good reason and one or two posters appear to be getting upset with each other. Better than discussing our players individual shortcomings isn't it?
