We have a data room.  Awesome.

Damn straight.

In it sits a lonely Commodore PET, 5.25 inch disks scattered all over the floor. A full ashtray un-emptied since 1983.

It's where they store the old player contracts too.  Piles of yellowing paper, curling up at the edges.  Randy's tears smudging the ink on Beye, Habib so that the name is barely legible.  But Randy knows, he can never forget.  And what's that scrunched up in the corner?  It can't be, surely?  It is, it's the Alex Ferguson missive, and it looks like it's had the full Vorderman treatment before being tossed in a fit of rage into the void.

Surely the Ferguson recommendation letter belongs in an extra special safe, under lock and key. Possibly actually stored in a Swiss bank vault, it would clearly be so precious to the recipient.

Also in said room - a drawer stuffed full of receipts for shit players MON bought and hardly ever used. Hiding the evidence from Randy's team and their once in a blue moon quick glance at the financial records.

If it does happen I hope for the love of god that that Howard Hodgson is not involved, with his monster ego and ridiculously amateurish schoolboy 'reports'

I've started a kickstarter campaign for a statue of him on his yacht.

I like your thinking.  A very large & extremely heavy statue?  Count me in.

That one of Saddam Hussain they pulled down is about the right size and weight. Bit of jack hammer work could make it tolerable likeness and very cheap. Probably still kicking around Bagdad somewhere.

Last time I checked in 2006 he was busy inventing the new phenomena broadband.

If there's any truth to the takeover story, what must Randy be thinking with performances like that, other teams picking up results and the games left to come.

Either way if we stay up I really hope sherwood is kept on and given a long term brief.

I dont. We can do much better, if we have some £ to spend to revitalise the squad

I've read recently that Bolton and WBA are both valued at £150m.  By comparison we are a snip at that price.
Before you say it, yes I realise the press are probably plucking numbers our of thin air.

Bolton? They're financially crippled.
