Plus Wet Spam as soon as the Olympic Park deal is fully legal and the Upton Park land is rubber stamped for non cat swinging house buyers.

Funnily enough I think Hull being outed as a for sale club may help Villa. If it sparks interest for people looking to buy into the Premier League, we're a much more attractive proposition than Hull. And did I hear right that Joe Lewis wants a billion squid for Spuds? I'd rather buy a billion McDonald's hamburgers.

I can only imagine you get the San Antonio Spurs thrown in too. Even then they'd be overpriced.

I'm still waiting for the imminent one to take place. Plus all of the other subsequent guaranteed offerings.

The gap is getting longer since Randy's last 'We've made progress' update.

That £1bn for Spurzzz would surely include the development land that will be the old WHL ? Plus the training ground perhaps which maybe earmarked for development ? As a club alone it's nowhere near a £1bn club . I'd put them on a par with us maybe 10% higher for London factor ?

I can only imagine you're right, but even then I doubt land in Tottenham is anywhere near as valuable as, say, Stratford. The whole area would need developing.

But maybe it includes the £500 million Spuds have tied up in tricksy midfielders.

I think the whole of that area around 7 Sisters and WHL is part of a much bigger development plan to overhaul that part of North London.

So 4 PL clubs now up for sale on the open market as such.

Doesn't that Hull bloke want to sell now as well?
Yes. Us, hull, spurs, Everton. Anyone else up ?

Newcastle

Yup, that makes 5. One of which ,Hull, will be sold for "free" according to the owner.

I imagine we will be owned by Lerner for a long time yet.

Putting a price tag on something and actually selling it for that amount are 2 separate things entirely.

Weren't there a couple of clubs at the end of the 80's flogged for a pound, on the condition the new owner took on all the debts and stuff?

Chelsea being one, while Ken Wheldon bought Small Heath for 25p.

Generally in business transactions if you are assuming the debt you are effectively paying that for the entity. The pound is nominal for legal reasons.

Fuck ne they saw him coming.

What's more, if you factor in inflation since that time, that 25p would be worth £2 in today's money.

A fool and his money .....
