Something will give as his statement about Lambert working in conditions he set that were unfair shows there is a knowledge its not good.

Sounds more like Lerner trying to save Lambert's job for him.

Maybe he will stay on, back Lambert and give him a decent amount of money to spend on experienced players with proven quality.

We need a fresh start. The club is stale, and Lerner isn't the man to sort it. New broom and all that.

Personally I don't want someone to come in and we end up with a load of overpaid mercenaries. Yes Citeh have done this but they are investing heavily in their infrastructure and youth set-up + network of clubs globally. I would love us to follow this model and to carry on doing our great community work etc.

If he was staying, he'd have just said that, surely?

Which leaves one of three options.

1. He will now listen to offers. If that is what he means, and we are no further along the road, then that means a summer of manager uncertainty, transfer inertia and an owner who admits he had lost interest. That, for me, unless there is a huge change in spending policy, means another year of struggle. My money would be on it ending badly this time.

2. The takeover is done and dusted.

3. Actually, he doesn't have any grand announcement, but that weird statement has only managed to back him into a corner - ie he fucked up, through an amateurish press release.

I'm afraid I've gone into self preservation mode on this now,

This is Villa, so inevitably it will all turn out like a Bradford semi

I cannot afford to go thinking about Jurgen Klinsman in the dug out or jimmy Milner on the pitch for my own good it's best not to dream a dream maybe just a catnap will do

Then if something good does happen Yaay

I believe number 2 to be correct, and the Culverhouse/Karsa malarkey and form dropping off a clif can all be linked back to it.

Those 3 choices seem to cover the options Pauline

Put them up as a poll, I would be interested to see what the majority of H&V think will happen
