That's the worst line up I've seen us have in ages.

A Villa team to make the opposition quake in its boots if ever there was one, what a magnificent line up, I am inspired
Did you not mean insipid ?

It's getting pretty grim Dan, that team reminds me of 1986
It does but stay positive for a while. Lets see what happens.

Yep it's not pretty, it's massively devoid of any quality.

Indeed, and it's not really Lambert's fault that much. Lack of money made up for by a surplus of injuries will lead to teams like this one.

So we've lost all of our key players other than Vlaar now.

That's why, when you have two very close brushes with relegation, you go into the next season prepared with a squad capable of bringing you over the line.

While your general point is fair enough, you take four of the first eleven of any team bar Man City out, and they will suffer. Today we're missing Okore, Delph, Gabby, Benteke who would certainly have been in, plus Kozak and El Ahmadi who would have been first reserves.

This is as bare bones as any Villa side I have seen take to the pitch. Jesus/Moses/Mohammed all of you pray for us!

That's true, absolutely no disputing that. My point is, we should be safe by now. We should, in my opinion, be on more than 34 points at this stage of the season and part of that had been down to over-reliance on players like Baker and Clark because we didn't loan in a centre back in January.

Bennett out wide is interesting, has a bit of skill and can whip a decent ball in. Albrighton's crossing has been good of late and if there's one thing Holt can still do, surely it's head the ball? Holt headed hat-trick.
