Stokes defence were struggling with our quick passing around the box and midfielders running beyond. They have looked entirely comfortable with us punting hopeful balls in towards Benteke. Clueless.

what's mind boggling is how we can look so good and confident to start the game, score a goal and fall apart. I can't think of many teams that happens to. And it's not just this season and last. It's been an issue for a while now.

We aren't really trying anything different. Just the same things that haven't worked all game.

I am wondering whether I've got it wrong in terms of who to blame and this is more the fault of the manager than the players

Manager buys, picks the team , coaches the team and chooses formation etc - he is the one i blame most .
I think better managers would get more out of this group of players  on  a consistent basis .

Apart from Vlaar, Benteke, Guzan, Delph and maybe Bacuna,  I honestly wouldn't mind any player leaving in the summer.

I've not really seen a lot in the last two seasons to make me think Lambert knows his stuff tactically, to put it mildly
