Well what a brilliant result AND performance. Beautiful goal from Delph to send the cockneys back to London with a flea in their ears. Brilliant day all round - well done Villa and well done Paul Lambert, you made my weekend!
Come on!

Well done to every single player and the manager, it's hard to think of any other game in recent years where you could say we hardly made a mistake in the 94 mins.

One question, petty i know, but puzzling - why was the game restarted with a drop ball after Ramires' sending off? Did I miss something?

The only annoying thing today is I took Vlaar out my fantasy team for Ivanovic. Doh!

I really don't care. Sorry.

Cracking performance.  Chelsea got what they deserved out of the game.  John Terry running 50 yards to get Ron Vlaar booked!! Tosser.  Bacuna, Delph, Vlaar, Benteke were excellent.  If we can replace KEA and Wiemann in the summer with two better players, I think we can forget about relegation scraps next season.  Fair play to Paul Lambert.  I have not been his biggest fan but he is proving me wrong.

Just home, planning to read this and the match thread in its entirety.

There seemed to be quite a few people wearing those half and half scarves in the Lower Holte today. Why on earth anyone would want to is beyond me. I assumed they were Chelski fans in disguise, but when Delph scored, I noticed one of them seemed so happy and turned round and was busy filming the crowd's reaction. There was a Chelski fan in front of me, I clocked his attempt at trying to disguise his joy before the goal was disallowed. Also saw his Chelski screensaver on his mobile phone. As we were leaving, to my shame, couldn't resist telling him I knew he was a Chelski fan. Instantly regretted it as the aggression in his response of 'Yes, so what?' actually scared me. For a second.

Also, if anyone whose last name is Savage is wondering what happened to their bank card, I found it at half time and handed it to a steward.

Happy days.

Something nobody's picked up on yet was the amount of times Chelsea got caught offside. Don't know if it was down to our outstanding defensive line or that Chelsea's forwards were as thick as pigshit.

Oh and special mention to the ever despicable John Terry. Tried his very best to even out the sendings off count when he desperately tried to get Vlaar sent off. He truly is a horrible, nasty piece of work trying every trick in the book to get his way. Gamesmanship at it's very worse.
You got what you deserved, Terry, absolutely nothing.

I am a mild mannered chap nowadays but if anyone deserves a Glasgow Kiss on general principles it is John Terry. A complete and utter ******

Top day all round.

Decent weather. Had a pint with a bloke bringing his three grandkids  from Coventry and then two old boys before taking my seat.
The match was what I want at VP - incident, endeavour and a little skill with passionate support.

Well done Joe Bennett - well done Leandro Bacuna - well done Vlarr and Baker - well done the midfield - good on Gabby for having a run at them a couple of times - damn you Benteke for making me think it wasn't our day when you shot wide - calm down a bit Weimann use your energy better - thanks for turning the screw Marc - well held Clarky.

But most of all thanks to all the Villans at VP for the atmosphere that grew and grew - it was like the "Old Days" TM

Oh - fuck off Chelsea

Also how well we did without Bertrand playing.

With more performances like that I might review my decision not to renew my ST for next season. My name is Legion. I am fickle.

There were loads of them around. I swear I have never seen so many tourists and day trippers before down VP. Or plastic away 'fans'. Amount of times I got asked where the Holte was was ridiculous.
