That was the best atmosphere I can remember in a long time. All in all a perfect day for me in more  ways than one - great performance, fantastic result and incredible atmosphere; for some reason for the biggest crowd of the season I got off the car park quicker than when we have low attendances, so home in record time; got home to find my new rescue staffie hadn't chewed anything while I was out (a first); and my youngest son whose epilepsy has been out of control (up to 39 partial fits a day) had a fit-free day for the first time in over a month. I'm absolutely buzzing! Be doing some damage to that bottle of single malt tonight for sure!
Hope your son has more days like today mate!

Only one of those really matters.

Absolutely - more than anyone could know

3 wins from last 4 home games...

Great form.

Paul Lambert gets all the credit for the turn around from me.

Lovely stuff. I will never get sick of us beating Chelsea, I cannot stand them. They have bought a some good players but they're absolutely classless from top to bottom.

Also how Delph isn't being included in England squads is beyond me.

I really hope the guy I spoke to before the game who bought a fanzine off me brings his daughter again. The only time she's attended previously was the 3-2 v Money City. With this wonderful 1-0 performance AND victory, his little girl is now definitely a lucky charm.

Given the quality of the opposition that was by far our best home performance of the season. The team kept a good shape throughout, showed great discipline and thoroughly deserved to win. Every player performed very well but I'd single out our back four for special praise. Nathan Baker's and Joe Bennett's best displays of their Villa careers. Mourinho was whinging on the radio on my way home about the referee but when he calms down and reflects on the game as a whole he'll recall that Chelsea rarely troubled Brad.

I find it hard to get too worked up about MOTD - not the best show and caters to the audience.

We won and beat the chav lottery winners. I don't care where they show us on MOTD.

I just hope someone points out to Terry that he conned the ref last year, got Benteke sent off, and they took 3 pts. Tried to tell ref what to do today but failed.

If you can't take it the other way Terry - retire and save us all from your offensive presence.

Chokes in my throat to say it , but Liverpool winning it would be least offensive for me.

Too far
