Quevega is about the nearest thing to a banker according to AP McCoy.
You could do worse than follow Ruby Walsh all week, which I say every year then don't do it.
Then again is this the first year he's raced mainly in Ireland? Will it make any difference?
Best week of the year bar none!

Going Thursday, can't wait.  It gets better each time I go and I know sweet FA about horse racing.  Pick a horse with decent odds, place an each way bet on it... and hope, that's what I do.

'Our Conor' has been put down after a heavy fall. What a shame.

Pretty crap today 2 seconds in a lucky 15 but they may as well of finished last. Had a massive win on the Wednesday last year 25e/w (a free bet)@25/1 so hoping history repeats itself, It won't be nearly that much though as I'm not putting anything like that on.  Just a few small bets on 4 outsiders for me I think tomorrow and just incase they're in a lucky 15 as well which would be big money but that is extremely unlikely to happen.

Yep, absolutely devastating to all involved. At times like this, the forgotten people are the grooms and stablehands. They are the guys and girls who spend day after day with the horses and inevitably build up the strongest bond. They are really like their own personal pets, so spare a thought for whoever was involved with Our Conor in this way.

I hope this doesn't turn this thread into the usual argument that all horse racing threads seem to have become in the past. The staunchest jumps racing fan is affected quite badly by this sort of thing.

Our Conor had a brilliant career in front of him and whilst it may have been a little early this year (I still think he'd have been there or thereabouts today) he would have been a great chance next year and in the future.

Betting wise I surprisingly had a good day. Quevega had me worried for a while, but class shone through.

6 wins in a row at the festival is really an unfathomable stat. Absolutely incredible.

Midnight Prayer and a nice punt each way on L'unique saw me in decent profit.
