What a fantastic day that was, there was a real buzz of optimism around the place and I really did think we were destined for greatness.

I was living abroad at the time and had never previously heard of the kid who scored their goal.

It really set the tone for the season. Despite having been close to the drop the season before, to win against Utd on the opening day just sent us about our business. The style in which we did it was also great. I really felt optimistic about that season after the first game, and in the end we had a great season.
