Comfortable win in the end. We should composure, a bit of movement and some nous and played some good football. We can do it if we put our minds to it. Lambert will hopefully stick with this side and not start chopping and changing too much. It was frustrating after so much positive play against Liverpool and WBA, that we then played so negatively in the next few games.

KEA looked good today. Didn't go hiding, didn't drift out the game, just kept imposing himself in the midfield and using the ball quickly and effectively. He's got to do this week in week out. Ditto Westy who is now finding some form.

Benteke was excellent today. Bacuna was also brilliant. Gabby looked up for it. Our front 3 caused them problems.

Play like this at home and we should beat anyone in the bottom 10. Games like Palace, West Ham etc at home are inexcusable.

More than a six pointer, considering Norwich's last four games.

That was all right, wasn't it? The table suddenly looks a lot healthier.

Long overdue comfortable win to lift the spirits - I think 38 points will be enough so this gives us a bit of a cushion ahead of three tough games - well done to all - enjoy your evening :)

Seeing as how Hoolahan should really be our player, I count this as a 5-0 win too.

Also second half, Norwich played with a sort of defeated cluelessness that just looked a lot like we've played for all too much of this season. Which was great to see.  Second half wasn't pretty by any means but fuck it, it's nice to stroll home to an easy 4-1 victory at home. They never looked like hurting us.

A rare chance to enjoy a result, no strings attached. Nice one Villa, you deserved the win.

A deserved win. When did we last get one of those? What a difference it makes though.

20-odd minutes in, and it's a contender for poorest performance of the season, some accolade. Then Benteke, with a combination of Withe's chest and Little's legs transformed us.

A perfect game to show exactly how we are as a team, capable of being desperately poor and really quite good. Still dunno where we go from here, but dome relief at least. Roll on Summer.

Agreed, the first 15 mins or so were truly shocking. Abject.

Then Benteke changes it. Second half, just shut the game down (nice to see).

I think confidence is a gigantic factor in this team.

Hoolahan's non celebration was a touch odd. He'd also shown exactly why we wanted to buy him, too.

Much needed win and most of the other results went perfectly for us. Dan also keeps his match thread gig for another week!
