It's the kind of selection that makes you think Lambert is praying "Please don't lose, please don't lose."

Although having said that apart from Albrighton I'm not sure what other changes are feasible.  Maybe Holt: surely if he's ever going to get a game it should be this one.

Looks like a return of 4-3-3, all is not lost.

I suspect that no matter how well he plays, Albrighton will only play in flat 4-4-2. I'd have him here in place of Weimann with a brief to make sure he gets back to cover Lowton in place of Bacuna. If we had a viable alternative to el Ahmadi, I'd have him in the team too. It should be Johnson or Carruthers.

We're so crap and predictable I'm expecting a wonderful performance and a comfortable win. Probability says we can't be shit forever.

First start in 2 months for Hoolahan. Necessity or pettiness?

3 out of form forwards, in front of a static and very unimaginative midfield. With a midfielder at right back and Nathan Baker in the back 4. Fuck a duck. Hoolahan to run the game, and us to lose. 2-1 Norwich.

Could this be Lambert's Bolton.

I have a bad feeling about this one. Worse than usual before home matches. I hate this poking around the arse end of the table thing.

With Lambert in charge, it's best, if not absolutely bloody essential, to assume the worst and then even 3 or 4 passes strung together comes as a nice surprise..

Didn't realise so many teams below us have games in hand! Palace, WBA and Sunderland.

Absolutely massive game for us today.
The time of looking for a good performance has gone, we just need points.

You would think we would be used to it by now but bloody hell we need something to change.

Marc still on the bench.

subs: Steer, Sylla, Holt, Clark, Albrighton, Bennett, Robinson
The other thing that spooks me is that this bench really doesn't offer any alternatives for when Plan A fails - other than Albrighton, who should be in the Plan A anyway.

My negativity is spilling over at the moment.

I'll help you put your finger on why we haven't got the results at home, Paul. Because we are not very good.
