£32 isn't too bad I guess, given its £46 at Old Trafford!

That's pretty reasonable.

Hotel prices in the area aren't too bad either.

I might go straight from work on the Friday and take in the glorious site of Croydon on the Saturday morning

I don't normally ask but if anyone has 3 refs I can use I'd be eternally grateful.
Cheers

Pub recommendations please. You know those 'cracking boozer, full of Villa' ones? Not those.

I think he means those pubs near the ground which are rammed with Villa, where it takes an age to get served and the crap beer is in plastic glasses. I don't think he means Villa fans in general.

And probably where it's our 18 year old chavy supporters, rather than the normal ones.

What was wrong with going to the Villa when you were 18 and having a drink with your mates?

Absolutely nothing.  As we get older though some of us prefer to go to a pub where we can get served, in glass glasses and hopefully a choice of beers for the more discerning in the group.

When I was 18 I liked to go to pubs full of Villa fans singing loudly.

I'm older now and avoid these pubs as I want to get served and can't be bothered to sing songs about *insert place name* being a shithole.

I have not been there for a while but the Railway Telegraph about a 100 yards down from Thornton Heath station was, and hopefully still is, excellent and serves a good pint of Youngs.

Think I'm going to drink in the George Inn in London Bridge and then get the train to Norwood Junction.

I don't mind being in a pub full of Villa every now and again. The one at Norwich next to the river is normally ok.
