Bottom 3 by end of the month. In fairness last season the defensive side was to blame,  this the strikers have had enough chances to win games and not done so. I would roll the dice and start Holt and Albrighton  in a 442 next week. Must win. Absolutely must.

We'll play better in the harder games because people will not expect us to win, but have little to show for it. However, we'll do fine in April and May. That's my prediction.

If we get less than 6 points we will be in massive trouble.

We'll be fine as long as the chaps get it into the onion bag.

One point for me I'm afraid. Possibly against Norwich but more likely Stoke. The anguish begins.

I'm on track for my predictions on the 'Next 7 Games' thread - draw at Cardiff lose at Newcastle. I'll stick with my predictions on that thread:-

Norwich - Win
Man City - Lose by a cricket score whenever we get to play them
Chelsea - Lose
Stoke - Draw
Man U - Lose

4 points from those games and well in the shit

A march of O'neillesque proportions .

Next week is the biggest game of the season - like Reading away and QPR at home last year .

Enough is enough - I said after stoke away we were sleepwalking toward the trap door .

Yet another incompetent transfer window hasn't changed that.

We'll lose to Norwich and sack Lambert.

The first game of McLeish's second spell will witness a defensive masterclass as we bravely hang on for a two-nil defeat against Chelsea.

Following McLeish's dismissal, Glenn Hoddle takes the reigns and sees Villa achieve wondrous possession stats against Stoke. We lose three-nil.

To end the month, David Moyes finally gets to witness a comfortable home win at Old Trafford, in his first game as Aston Villa manager.
