I have got three children who have racked up over 100 years following Villa between them, a brother who has done getting on for that on his own.   How do I explain what is going on at Villa to them when their employees and domestic staff point at them and laugh.   Damon's butler is the worst.

We need Damon to break rank live on air and tell the nation of our torment and bring those responsible to heel.

Forget about the management for a bit because I want the players on the pitch to play with a passion and commitment that they actually give a shit about the VILLA, that should be a given but at the moment it isn't and that is NOT acceptable!

I thought we played well enough in the first half. Second half, we really didn't look like scoring and although their goal was coming from 70 minutes in, a draw would just have about been fair.

This really is a dreadful era to be a Villa fan. It's easily the worst squad of players since '87. The worst part about it is that there doesn't seem to be any sign of it changing.

Agreed.  I've got two young boys; 5 and 3.  How am I supposed to get them excited about this shower?

Mine are 7 and 5, we live outside the West Midlands so they are the only Villa fans in their school - they actually get laughed at. Mostly Brighton and Chelsea round here. Other than " my Dad supports them" why would anyone outside the catchment area support the Villa?

I've been told my 10 year old son has very good comebacks whenever his football team are the subject of any mocking. His stock answer is usually 'I remember when you supported Man Utd/Chelsea etc' or 'who do you think you'll be supporting next season?'.

He might not bother to even watch 'highlights' on MOTD even these days but he's still fiercely protective and loyal!

Fair play to him.  I rarely bother with the highlights myself these days.

Its time for the mumbing, clueless, monosyllbic , tactically devoid, scottish braindead twat to feck off out of Villa Park and take most of the useless wankers hes bought with him. Make no mistake about it, he will take us down this season for sure. Cant win at home or away or score a goal. Lerner and yesman Faulkner can feck off too.

First half yes we were decent enough, but as so many times this season we cannot seem to play a consistent 90 minutes and 2nd half was really poor - newcastle  were there for the taking as were Cardiff and  we let both off the hook.

I miss the good times. I miss looking forward to watching match of the day and knowing we would give most teams a game. That we would have spirit, heart and at the least a sprinkling of quality. That the fans would respond to same when they saw a team try regardless of what the score is.

I hate what we have become. Dull, predictable too accepting of defeat, and a bit of a freak show. If we are honest we will know our stock has fallen very low in recent years.

Why do you have to mention that he is Scottish in such derogatory tones?

What's particularly depressing is that Newcastle were very poor overall yet I don't recall us having a shot on target in the second half. We have some huge home games coming up and I have absolutely no confidence we can get even draws out of them. It's sad that we can only hope there are marginally worse teams still below us.

They may destroy our club but they will never take our memories from us !

Villa's next three games are on the telly. We very rarely seem to win when we're on the telly.  Hopefully we can break a couple of records next week against Norwich.  Win at home, win at all!!
