"Lambert revealed that Ashley Westwood was withdrawn in the second half with a deadleg while Ryan Bertrand did well to play as long as he did, as he had a virus in the run-up to the game."

So not the mentalist subs some thought after all.

The forwards were frustrated with each other and then seemed to collectively give up. Lambert had plenty of opportunity to change things before this. His substitutions were shocking.

If we lose to Norwich then I think we could easily get relegated.

3 up front feeding off our hoof football clearly wasn't working. Why not bring Albrighton on as well as Sylla? 4 man midfield and just two players up front, get the ball down and pass, hold on to the ball and it wont keep coming back at us. Its not too difficult to see is it? Why can we all see it and PL cant?

I went for a walk with the family instead of watching the game. My other half asked me what I was up to and my response was 'I can't sit through yet another turgid Villa performance which will no doubt end up with them losing in the last minute'.

Not only does she think I'm up to something but she now thinks I'm psychic.

Norwich at home. 4-4-2. Gabby and Albrighton wide, Holt and Benteke up. High tempo, swing the ball in. Old school football at VP is the way forward.

I never said that did I. But he subbed two unfit players. Hardly the work of a mentalist is it?

I know and on seeing that i was quite surprised he didn't learn his lesson and change things around to his plan B, 4 up front feeding off our hoof football!

He wont do that though will he? He'll set up to frustrate Norwich and react to whatever they do. We'll only "attack" on the break from a hoof. If Norwich settle into parking the bus then so will we. We worry about the opposition, we just don't worry about hurting them at all.

Anyone going to continue to defend our idiot of a manager?
That will come later, along with accusations of hysteria and bed-wetting.

Bennett, when he came on, had 16 touches of the ball and managed a pass completion rate of ...... 33%

Surely, I would have thought there are several more intelligent breeds of dog we could have brought on rather than him, who would have got a higher pass completion rating.

I'm thinking something like a Border Collie, for example?

I will not be renewing my season ticket next season. This game has sealed it for me not to renew.
If you bottle it that easily, you may as well go now.

And let's not forget that other H&V buzzword, 'hyperbole'.
