Is there any chance he'll come back next year? Or is it really over

The door is still open apparently!

Yep, Astana Qazaqstan are apparently ready to offer him a new deal for next year. Anyone seen The Tour De France Unchained on Netflix?  It's very good and filmed in a similar way to F1 Drive to survive on netflix.

Yeah it’s very well done. Incidentally The Program is now on Netflix, the Lance Armstrong story from the side of the  journalist who investigated his lies and cheating. Also worth a watch is Icarus and The Accidental Death Of A Cyclist, all about Pantani, Icarus is truly mind blowing, a brilliant watch.

I’d like to think just a strong ride but those time gaps were mind boggling…

1 minute 38 seconds over 22km is obscene. That’s Armstrong territory.

Be interesting to see how he recovers from that tomorrow. Two really hard stages left hopefully Pogacar can still get that time back although it will be extremely difficult.  However if anyone can Pogacar can.

I am thinking of getting a gravel bike, and the choices out there are mind boggling.

Anyone have any views of the below (or alternatives)?

Canyon Grizl CF SL 8 Trail
Cannondale Carbon 3
Cube NUROAD C:62 SLX
Cannondale Carbon Rival AXS

I really didn't think that such a short time trial would have such a dramatic effect on the GC

Pog's bike change wasn't the best (bloke seemed a bit slow out of the car and getting the bike off the roof).

To see Jonas take so much time out of Pog while riding a TT bike up hill was incredible.

I hope that it was just a spectacular performance

I watched it live on TV in the afternoon! It was an awesome TT

Armstrong and the boys (including guest Johan Bruyneel yesterday) on The Move podcast all said he put in a perfect ride. They also highlighted how incredibly aggressive Vingegaard was throughout and I just saw a side-by-side video of V and P going into the first corner and it's really telling.

The eldest (12yo) wants to get into off road mountain biking...does anyone know of any easy'ish trails within striking distance of Solihull?

Saw some of Vingegaard’s numbers from the TT, his watts per kg were almost 7.

I clock 3.76 watts per kg (based on my FTP) at race weight and peak fitness. 7 watts per kg is just phenomenal.

Down hill or cross country?
