122/6 off 35
Woakes, Clarke and Evans all gone. Looks like Chopra has to get all the runs on his lonesome. He is on 64.

Chopra out. Game over to all intents and purposes.

Jeetan Patel has given us an unlikely chance.

It was a bad toss to lose and the way we lost wickets at the end of our innings was down to poor batting and poor shot selection.

We bowled well - Jeetan Patel is a Bears legend. Another 30 runs and we'd have won.

It was an exciting game of cricket though the toss for these late season games is crucial.

As someone pointed out, the crowds for these games is very disappointing for the domestic showpiece final (perhaps t20 has taken over this role now).

I was talking to some Bears fans today about the Gillette Cup Semi Final at Edgbaston against  Lancashire in 76 which pretty much sold out and comparing it with this year's semi against Kent.

The final should not be starting at 10.30am in the 3rd week of September - far too early. Overall though, it was a great game in a low scoring contest. Jeetan Patel was brilliant. We could've got to 200 with better shot selection - I doubt Durham would've chased that total down. Shame Belly was injured/ill. Start the final at 12 noon and use the floodlights next time!

I think there is a problem with Lords using floodlights into the evening (I know they were on yesterday) above a certain number of occasions throughout the season.

I also think that it is such  shame that the final no longer seems to be a sell out - I remember some of the finals from the 90's and Lords seemed rammed. The atmosphere was very good yesterday (esp the Bears fans) but it seemed perhaps half full?
