450-9
Bell 172
Hann-D 0
Lead 308

Bell is a master at rotating the stroke and protecting the tailender. If Hannon-Dalby can survive the odd ball that he faces then we could get a few more yet with Bell nearing a double ton.

471 All Out
Hannon-Dalby Run Out 1
Bell Not Out 188
Sussex require 330 to win.

Bell trying to force a 2nd run which wasn't really there.

471 all out, with Bell 189 NO. Lead of 329.

That is one hell of a turn around by the Bears, admirably lead by Bell.

Why did they bother coming out for three overs? Wouldn't it have been more sensible just to take early lunch? Not that it matters much, just wondering what the rules were.

Gives our opening bowlers 2 bites at the openers, if Wright hadn't have bowled his no balls may have got a 4th over, now bowlers will come out fresh again.
If the Bears last wicket had fell at 12:51 they would have took the early lunch as there would not have been 10 minutes for change of innings.
Sussex 20-0 needing a further 310.

After a dour mid-session where Sussex were 120-0 at Tea and Laurie Evans failing to hold onto 2 chances the 2nd an extremely difficult one at short leg, after Tea
Evans finally snaffling one a fine catch at short mid wicket to oust Wells off Keith Barker 57.
Joyce on 74 and Yardy joining him on 1 142-1 requiring another 188 to win.

I have now left the ground so will be listening to the remainder of the day. A lovely warm day down there this afternoon!!!!

Sussex moved onto 201-2
Yardy Ct Wright b Patel 28
Joyce 97
Hamilton-Brown 7
Dropped 2 catches Yardy dropped by Wright before he was out but more importantly Trott dropped Joyce in the slip when on 91.

Managed to take an early wicket:
Hamilton-Brown ct Trott b Patel 54
Joyce 127
Machan in
282-3 another 48 required.

I have been there for 2 days but i don't feel quite so pessimistic, Wright's bowling a minor cause for concern but not too worried about Chopra
he will come good. Where the real problem lies is around the fielding particularly catching, a number of dropped catches in this game. Bell probably
made a mistake at the toss and remember Sussex are a very good side....we've lost out this time but we will be there or thereabouts by season end.

Good to see Finn back in the wickets, against a pretty strong Nottinghamshire line up, even if he was a tad expensive.

Robson must have nailed down the opening slot now.
