The fucking ball bounces right back off Benteke all to often.   That last time, to compound things, he tried to recover and Delph tripped him!

Bacuna v Zaha. Terrifying.

The only consolation I am taking from this start is that we generally do weather the storm and then break and score.

Take it it's not been good then?

We actually had a good spell but Cardiff have dominated the midfield last few minutes, we look outnumbered and outmaneuvered in there.

Can't we just hoof it over the midfield?

"You can see the game plan from both managers, though, get the ball wide and let the wingers try to win it for them"

First time that's been said about Lambo for a while.

It's also not the Cardiff game plan.

We do have a habit of making even the shittest of teams look like Barcelona.

It's the wide players running across our midfield that's causing us problems. And the fact they want the loose balls more

Our defence looks very square, except when baker is three yards behind vlaar.

It is hard to see what Bennett is going to provide that Weimann couldn't, unless he's going to get a good cross into the box. He is definitely capable of that, but we'll need to get him in the right positions

We're losing every defensive battle here. Baker is a bit lucky to get away with a penalty shout there and Bacuna keeps getting done Zaha.

Nathan Baker is not good enough. Could quite easily have been a penalty.
