Fuck me.  A back four of Bennett, Clark, Baker and Lowton.  God help us.

Lets hope Lambert doesn't decide Luna can fill in at cb

Cardiff to win 2-1.

Lambert to be proud of the way we played in the 2nd half.

Villa fans to lose the will to live.

Vlaar and Bertrand looking doubtful, Baker & Clark pairing means they'll score at least 1.

It never takes long for our new players to get crocked, does it?

If they're any good no.

We will sign a good four top quality players in the summer. Have a cracking first six weeks, then they'll all get injured and we will be back to playing Tonev and Herd.

Would you take that if it meant getting rid of the incompetent idiot?! You dread to think who the equally incompetent Faulkner might appoint instead. Is Tony Mowbray doing anything these days?

I have to be up for work at half 6 on Wednesday and its probably about three hours from Cardiff to my house in the north west, so no, I wouldn't take a loss. Mind you, they could play in my back garden and I would never hope for a loss, I am not sure why a Villa fan or a fan of any club for that matter, would ever want their side to lose.

I think a lot of people are tempted to do the first Dave but not the second

If you want the Villa to lose, you're not really supporting them are you?

Quite right. There is never a good reason for accepting/wanting our club to lose.

What if us losing meant West Brom or Birmingham getting relegated?

The closest I've ever come to that situation was under McLeish, because he was never ever going to get better and you knew it would take something for the scales to fall from our oblivious owner's eyes. But as soon as you see those teams come out of the tunnel all of that type of thinking vanishes without a trace, and you'll take absolutely anything which ends up with Aston Villa three points better off in the table than they were at the start of the day. You can be as high-minded and theoretical as you like, but you want Villa to win every game they play or you're not really a Villa fan.

Supertom, that's how Blues and Baggies think, and it's small time. We're bigger than that.

I still couldn't do it even then, although it would be a dilemma...
