The away fans are and always have been brilliant - they're representing the club more than the team, in lots of ways.

At home, the manager and the team are representing the fans and they're not doing it anywhere near well enough.

Hasn't the whole Villa and their attendances compared to other teams been done a few times now?

Yep. Not sure how to do links but i did a bit of brief research on it here -
Brief is an understatement.

Am I missing something here? Apart from a clickable link, obviously.

I always feel like I can't be bothered with it anymore, but something in the back of my kind always thinks "what if next season is where we turn brilliant and win something???".

That's why we all bother in the first place.

I'm moving to London next month so that'll be it for me after 10 straight years. I can barely summon up the enthusiasm to travel 3 miles to watch us these days, let alone 100. Even if I wasn't moving I'd probably only pick a handful of games.

If we got rid of Lambert I would reconsider but that seems very unlikely at this point.
living in London provides plenty of away games right on your doorstep. You can get absolutely twatted and then wobble home on public transport. It's great being a villa fan in London !!

I had a season ticket pretty much constantly from 1996 until the day Lambert started.

Then I jacked it in.

Going to Villa Park isn't fun anymore. Simple as that.
