No Carroll is a blow for them, but their defensive approach will mean we'll struggle to break them down, get in behind or run into space. That said, I do think that if anyone's going to win this game it'll be us, if for no other reason than Benteke against Roger Johnson.

True, but fat Sam will fancy his chances, they need the points, I reckon they will go for it.

Which suits us fine.

An huge win to paper over the cracks of the season and convince Lerner he's made the right choice. For once Lambert's post match comments will actually reflect the game.

6-1 Villa.

Fat ****** Sam's West Ham will "go for it"?!?!?!??!

Go for what exactly? The pies? He doesn't know the meaning of the word attack. He makes TSM look like Kevin Keegan.

We roll over for all the teams that need points so fully expecting a 0-0 or 1-1 result.

With no Andy Carroll to make a nuisance of himself I fancy us to win a tense game 2-0; Benteke to score early doors followed by 80+ minutes of frustration before an injury time goal from Grant Holt sends us all home happy

We'll yes, it's all relative. They will play their normal brand of dire football rather than what they did vs Chelsea.

I've actually gone for a Villa win solely on the fact that Bentekkers is scoring so he will outscore them. 3-2 but our performance will be shit.

Still laughing at the decision not to overturn Carrols red. Epic Lolz.

2-1, Bert and Tekkers, new Italian for them.

West Ham are fighting hard to get Carroll available for this one in some shape or form going to the court of arbitration. He plays, we could well struggle. Draw.

Bad news folks - I'm coming to this one and I haven't seen the Villa win live since John Carew's home debut (forgive me, Singapore is a long way).  That was 2007 I believe....  Funnily enough that was against West Aaaam too so I reckon this is the one to break the sequence.

2-1.

No Carroll = no excuses.

2-1: Late Benteke pen and Nzogbia Bacuna free-kick. Who was it that scored a dozy og for the them last year to let 'em back in, Westwood?
