Clock is ticking now.  He will be gone by the end of the week.

Don't hold your breath. Lerner and Fox will absolutely give him his Cup quarterfinal.

So you're convinced we'll beat Leicester then?

I'm just so fucking angry that our situation is so fixable, but the club seem to actively want relegation.

That post-match interview last night was just a load of cliches and platitudes strung together.

I had a chat with Kofi the caretaker when I got in this afternoon.  He's Ghanaian and a Spurs fan so he's not had the best few days either but even he expressed sympathy and bemusement in equal measure.

To be honest, too little too late from The Mail. Should have been done months ago

I listened to TalkSport earlier, finally he's been rumbled by the media.  Good analysis of Lambert's reign along the lines of........

Bought young, untried and hungry - FAILED
Tried counter attacking - FAILED
Tried possession football - FAILED
8 of his transfer buys are loaned out
His loans in are benched
His only goal scoring threat, benched
His best centre back and 2nd most valuable player, benched
In 3 years breaks unwanted records week after week after week

Overall, he's a dismal, deluded failure.

How can you live with yourself as a manager when 43% of the time your team doesn't score?

How can you let that man retain his job?!

WHAT IS GOING ON HERE

He made all the points that we would expect.

Nothing of the sort.

I am genuinely surprised. I thought I would log in today and read about him being gone. Very surprised actually. Deep down I do not think Randy is stupid. His employee is going to cost him a lot of money when he takes us down. He must see that.

We have to remember we are run by someone who is stupid, he actually paid a lot of money for a manager who was relegated twice in three seasons.

I actually don't think Randy would blink at paying Lambert off if he thought it was the right decision. Unfortunately, I think he thinks things will improve.

Big, big error of judgement.

My worry is that they are all sat there on the phone now trying to cobble together some ridiculous halfway house plan designed to try and appease us and the media.  Like bringing in Peter Withe or promoting Gordon again 'to help Paul'.  Some half arsed thing like that designed to make it look as if they're doing something about it.

From what he said in the email to Fear, Randy has basically washed his hands of all things Villa and expects Tom Fox to run the club and make the decisions.

I think you're giving them too much credit. They won't be doing anything. They certainly don't see the need to appease us.
