The odds on Lambert to be next to get the boot have shortened massively since after the game late last night.  He's now odds on with every bookie - hopefully they're in the know...

I saw a bit of his post match interview on SSN last night, and although I wasn't paying a huge amount of attention - I was trying not to hear him say we were excellent, as it would have made me put my foot through the telly (and probably through the wall behind it, too) - and I thought he looked "broken".

He looked and sounded like a man who didn't believe what he was saying any more, and really didn't want to be there.

He did. He was red in the face and looked completely exhausted with everything. Like a man who has sat up at night working on a maths problem for months and is just stumped on the solution, and knows whatever he tries he's never going to solve it. That's why I don't understand why he and the board don't just come to a financial agreement. Swallow their pride, hold up their hands privately that things aren't working out and move on. That, or just make him Director of Football even as a short term approach (more to save face) and get in a new coach and coaching team.

My fear is they will leave it way too late. There is still time to address this. I cited Pardew yesterday as an example of how quickly it can change, and there is no reason with this squad why we cannot do the same.

I don't reckon this has fully bottomed out yet and there's a cup defeat and at least getting beaten by Stoke before the board hit panic stations.

Who listened to TalkSport, Cundy & Goldstein last night? All Villa the first 30 mins, Collymore ranting, fans ranting, very good listening all saying the right things. Worth a listen guys if you haven't already.

A couple of half decent sized bets on such a small market will affect the odds big time. The bookies know less than us.

Nah, listen back to WM instead. You'll hear my brother offer the job to Peter Withe on air.

I heard a fella called Leighton on 5 Live last night, having a very good rant and really getting the point over.

The same Leighton who posts on here? and who did the "We're Not Fickle" banner? I was impressed

This is no way for a storied club to be run. A non-storied club, yes. But not a storied club.

This is brilliant. Tear them down, and then build them back up.
