Is there not a risk that Randy will not understand and think that #lambertout refers to a French vegetable, similar to #mangetout?
Lambert is less use than a mangetout, at least you can eat one of them. They're probably better at managing football clubs too.

If only Paul Lambert had falsely claimed to have been shot down by a helicopter in Iraq.

If you're waiting for some form of action, I think you're wasting your time.

He's not going to be going anywhere.

In a weird way this post gives me some hope, because I remember you saying exactly the same thing about Mcliesh
I'm sure you won't mind being wrong again if he goes

Just watched his press conference on Sky. He said we have to stop playing the pretty stuff and start winning ugly. And he chucked the old "We Go Again" chestnut in for good measure. He spoke for a few minutes without actually saying anything, as usual.

It was my turn as a team leader last night at my local homeless shelter,
Even the homeless and destitute were taking the piss out of me

It's a good job you didn't tell them you were a Villa fan.

Could be worse I suppose, could be ginger

I saw a bit of his post match interview on SSN last night, and although I wasn't paying a huge amount of attention - I was trying not to hear him say we were excellent, as it would have made me put my foot through the telly (and probably through the wall behind it, too) - and I thought he looked "broken".

He looked and sounded like a man who didn't believe what he was saying any more, and really didn't want to be there.

He did. He was red in the face and looked completely exhausted with everything. Like a man who has sat up at night working on a maths problem for months and is just stumped on the solution, and knows whatever he tries he's never going to solve it. That's why I don't understand why he and the board don't just come to a financial agreement. Swallow their pride, hold up their hands privately that things aren't working out and move on. That, or just make him Director of Football even as a short term approach (more to save face) and get in a new coach and coaching team.

My fear is they will leave it way too late. There is still time to address this. I cited Pardew yesterday as an example of how quickly it can change, and there is no reason with this squad why we cannot do the same.

Unless we change the manager now, we are done for.  I cannot see where we are getting another win.

It's probably been said a thousand times on here but if we go out of the cup Sunday and lose to Stoke the Saturday after, surely Lerner can't let him continue if Randy's said decision to have "fun" with the club again is only because of the huge TV deal that was announced.

I think all of us, if in charge of any club would say enough is enough. And now Laudrup is apparently out of the reckoning to be the next QPR manager then we MUST go and get him before any one else does.

My mate said Lambo is 1/3 with Skybet to go next

Well at least he has already beaten Nigel Pearson at something. Tim Sherwood is fave to be next Villa manager. Not sure about him.

Skybet are presumably operating within the bounds of logic and sense. They haven't reckoned on the hallucinatory delusions our board seem to be capable of, however.

Thing is, we're looking at it as if there's hardly any time to put things right. There is, though - tons of it. A bit of momentum and we could be clear by April. But it feels like we're down because the world and its mother knows there won't be an upturn in form under this manager. Last night, 90 minutes flashed past because we're so desperate. A new man with some impetus is the only thing to shake that mindset.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.  There's only one person to save us.

Yeah. I've yet to hear an interview with him in the last 2 years where he's actually said anything of note. It's an endless list of clichés but with no actual talk of what happened in the game by and large. I really believe now that he doesn't know what he's talking about at all he speaks for the sake of speaking and not because he has anything of interest to say.

I'd be surprised if his team talks are anything different either, hence why he's lost the dressing room, they've heard if all before and know it doesn't work.
