I have been reading a book about Edward III in which he richly rewarded messengers who brought him news of his wife giving birth of their various children when he was away doing battle or whatever. These rewards were so generous they would set said messenger up for life. We ought to do the same here. The first person who brings forth news of the imbecile's sacking should receive the freedom of the city and a lifelong season ticket to VP.

Thirteen cup finals then. We all know how we do in a cup tie.
If Lambert stays, we will not win another game this season.
The lack of guile, belief and intensity last night was just unbelievable.

Every night I lie awake trying to make sense of what is happening at the club I have supported for nearly 50 years. As things stand, we will not just be relegated but we will finish bottom of the league. We are told the players are good enough to be much higher up the table. Surely then the blame lies at the feet of the manager? Is there another club in England, in Europe, in the world which would not have sacked such an inept performer long ago?

What is going on? One can only conclude that the powers that be are determined for Aston Villa to be relegated. This is their plan. But why? How can this be especially when one considers the riches announced yesterday which lie around the corner for every Premiership club? Long and hard I have pondered through my nightly vigils. Only one explanation has come to mind. Are Lerner and Co. merely the front men, the mouthpieces, the puppets of  sinister forces behind the scenes who have taken over our beloved club. Could it be there exists a consortium of blue-noses intent on bringing this once mighty club to its knees? Are the likes of Trevor Francis, Bob Latchford and Fred Goodwin at this very moment scheming and plotting from their hideaway island somewhere in the Indian Ocean their act of terrible revenge. The Mcleish experiment failed. Perhaps it was too obvious. This time it seems success is guaranteed. Is Lerner’s famous tattoo actually overlying a Birmingham City crest? Did Lambert in his boyhood bed dream of standing on the Tilton Road End cheering on his heroes in blue and white? Was Fox’s greatest ambition to get into bed with Karren Brady? We need to be told.

One thing is certain. Lambert needs to go, he must go if there is to be any chance of salvaging the current position. Let us shout it from every corner of Villa Park, from our every hilltop, in every valley, from West to East, from North to South. LAMBERT OUT!

One solution we haven't thought of is demoting him to the youth team like he did with the Bomb Squad.

Then bring a new manager in.

A clear Constructive dismissal case there if he resigned.

How about we just sack the stupid fuck.

The best thing that could happen now is to get beat at home to Leicester.  Carrying the team to the Quarter Final could keep him in a job. - Not that I would normally condone us wanting to get beat whatever the circumstances.

That is not the best thing.

The best thing would be to sack him today, hope the board has done some proper succession planning for the first time in many many years and we beat Leicester, Stoke et al

That would be the best thing. The second best thing would be for us to stumble through against Leicester and then for Lambert to get sacked after losing the next league game. Then we might get someone who knows what he's doing and we'd still be in the cup.

If Albion or Burnley win tonight, and we lose at home to Stoke then we've a bigger mountain to climb.

Those are very big ifs. Personally I think the chances of both Burnley and Albion winning are pretty remote.

Doesn't really matter thou does it . We are now in the bottom three, where are the points coming from , we can't rely on other teams above us when we have two wins in 21 games and most the teams around us have more fight even Leicester.

We are in serious trouble. I think we are gone and its bloody horrible.

I agree. No idea what to say really.  I think we are fucked as it is. Can anyone really see us getting more than 1-2 wins in the remaining games, If at all?

He's not going anywhere. He won't walk. And Lerner won't stump the cash to sack him.

Short-sighted. Suicidal. Stupid.

How many would Leicester have to be up to have villa park fully on his back for a sustained period? No manager can survive this level of shit.

Venting is the only therapy at the moment.
