I watched the Spurs/Arsenal game today and the difference in Spurs from when they played us in chalk and cheese.Against us they only won due to Benteke going off , they were absolute garbage.Since then Pochotino has turned them around, sure they had some expensive buys but their best players today where Mason and Kane 2 guys who came through the youth scheme.

Now look at Lambert in 3 years and his team then and now ..different players in some cases but same performances and results. He might be able to spot a player , he might be a good man manager but one thing he isn't is a decent coach.

Hopefully he can get a result against Hull and we carry on and stay up but IMO even with millions at his disposal Lambert peaked at Norwich.

Saw the other day that Klinnsman had criticised USMNT players and their fitness levels over the holiday break. The numpties of the dreadful Fox et al "soccer" shows (like Alexei Gribbo Lalas) all slammed him.

Was hoping/fantasizing that it was part of a plan to have Klinnsmann sacked by the USSF so that a new Villa owner could hire him.

Hate Mourinho but he may have just done us a favor putting fault with Lambert and not with the squad.

Lambert replied to that comment by adding:
“Maybe he is trying to put pressure on me, I don’t know.

Then Mo goes on and on about our "good players" implying that we shouldn't be in trouble. He also names Baker and N'Zogbia amongst those good players  ???

Lambert saying "I don't know".

Finally some honesty from the clueless one.

If Mourinho could put that in a letter and send it to Lerner, maybe he would listen and sack the bloke. He could then pop it in his safe next the the Fergie one.

It's bloody true and at last others outside of Villa Park have noticed that actually the players at Lambert's disposal are the making of a fairly decent Premiership team. Not world beaters but by no means a struggling shambles that we are.
Michael Owen has picked up on it, Pat Murphy too the other week on the radio said similar things.

Wouldnt now be an ideal time to get Hoddle in to help coach the team? He made divide opinion but his tactical knowledge and ability can't be questioned. No brainer for me.

Agree PW.

I think we will stop up this season, and Lambert will be gone in the summer, and we will get someone like Karanca in to change the mentality, quality, organization of the club from the top.

We live in hope.

But it'd still be Lambert picking the team, deciding tactics, and making substitutions. Which is the problem already.

Hoddle would be a great shout. If we are keeping Lambert regardless of what happens I don't get why the fuck we are dallying with getting someone in to help him out - it makes no sense at all.

Who does he bounce ideas off? Who sees the things he doesn't? Who motivates the players that lambo doesn't like?

He's right. It's a decent squad of players. 2 wins in 20 league games from that squad is ridiculous.

Harsh on Baker, he's been pretty good this season, he's certainly not been our problem in the team.

I was sat near the dugout yesterday , There was an altercation between lambert and the Chelsea bench angry words exchanged and lambert ripped his coat off as if he was ready to go toe to toe.
