MON was more like Hitler.  Had us believing, as he himself did, that he could take over the world, ended up with a siege/bunker mentality and ultimately fell  on his sword took the coward's way out.
Just tidied that up for you.

I cringe every time I see our woes played out in the media.
Forgive me if I'm wrong, but haven't you been pretty vocal about wanting to see the media jumping on Lambert and his record and being more critical than they have been up to now?

I want the media to put pressure on the club (especially Lerner), but that doesn't mean I don't cringe when I see wankers like Savage point out our disgraceful goal scoring record etc. I'm a Villa fan and I don't like it.

Nice attempt to twist my words though.

The exact same thing could have been said about Randy Lerner. In fact more so, because he's the man at the top and the buck stops with him.

Twist your words? I was just trying to work out whether you wanted the press putting pressure on the club or not.

Defensive much?

Somebody got out of bed on the wrong side today.

Do you want to see articles in the press criticising the current performance of the club or not?

I've answered that already.  Put your glasses on.

So you want them to, but you don't like it when they do.

Perfectly clear.

"Villa have scored seven at home and only 11 in total in 22 matches.

That is not only the worst goals-per-game ratio in the top division of any of Europe's major leagues - England, Spain, Germany, France and Italy - but also the worst goals-per-game ratio by any of the 649 teams in the top nine tiers of the English football pyramid. "

I think that is why its reasonable to suggest he deserves the boot.

I wouldn't go as far to compare him to Hitler, Pol Pot maybe?

Oh I agree, he's crap. I think I defended him longer than most on here but enough is enough.

I'd put him at about George W. Bush level myself.

It's perfectly clear. I want the media to put pressure on the club but it still makes me cringe to read just how awful we've become.
Shit stir and twist words all you like, but thats the way it is.

I find it a refreshing change to them waxing lyrical about how great we've been down the years.

Wait...

Godwin’s Law

it can be used prescriptively: so if any poster does mention the Nazis in a discussion thread, Godwin’s Law can be invoked, they instantly lose the argument and the thread can be ended.

I think the internet needs an additional version of this law that mentioning Israel/Palestine or Zionists in a non-relevant context also automatically loses the argument.
