As TV says Lambert has a raft of cop outs which he uses endlessly. If we scrape up he will claim job done. If we go down he will present himself as the man to get us back up. Lerner has the same chameleon qualities. We don't find a buyer, he only wants the best for the club, we do find a buyer he leaves it to the new owner to solve institutionalized failure of his creation. I have been as angry as hell with the Villa many times over the years but this time it is different.  It flows from the trumpeting of reduced expectations as progress. I just don't want to go to Villa games any more. Lerner and Lambert have won as far as I am concerned. I shall start watching Dulwich Hamlet again when I feel the need for flesh and blood football and stop being terminally depressed by what is going on at Villa Park.
I know exactly how you feel but I refuse to let them two win and cant fully give my Villa up no matter how pissed off I am.. It's my team and I've supported them all my life so I will still go but not as often. I find myself frequently thinking 'that's it, had enough, never going again" but I suppose it's an addiction, if I don't go I still find myself following every minute.
This weeks little victory for me is that they don't play Saturday so that day can't be ruined and next doors cat doesn't need to hide.

Ha! Nice try Brian but I'm not buying it. I've just re-read a couple of your posts after the Millwall game, bloody brilliant stuff, as all agreed at the time. You may be pissed off but you're going no where. Sadly for you, the Villa are part of your DNA.

Ridiculous conspiracy nonsense.

The layers are happy to play bad and be relegated?

Unless I misread you, then Inapologise.

There's nothing in the world that would want me to keep Lambert now. Its got that bad i feel actual rage every time i even hear him speak

I absolutely detest the bloke. Now, i've never met him (and have absolutely no desire to) but that's how much he's wound me up and ground me down over the last 3 years

Detest is a harsh word, but there's nothing i like about him at all. In fact i'm getting riled just typing this. My dislike of McLeish or even O'Leary never came this close

I've gone this mental too. Even when we signed Gil I saw him start talking about him and just thought fuck off Paul and turned over. I find him a drain on football now and even the most positive words from his mouth come out sounding negative and excusey.
In total agreement with both of these.
I just cannot be bothered to read anything he says or (try to) listen to any of his interviews.
Infact, the only words I ever want to hear from him in the future are, 'good bye'.

I don't even want to hear his good byes it will be part fan suck up, part chairman brown nosing with a large dollop of excuses about injuries and lies about transfer fees. He's a blagger, he bullshits every time he opens his mouth to the media, who are uneducated about what's going on at the Villa because we are nothing to them. Put him in a room full of Villa fans, asking serious questions about what's been going on and see how he holds up, he'd crumble because behind the flowery words and the ever changing plans there is no substance to him.

Well I don't even want to hear the swoosh of his trousers if they brush against the piping on the side of those sofa things that they have in old pubs if he goes for a drink to commiserate after being deservedly cannoned from this once-great club that's been humiliated, killed, spat-on and tangoed by this manager and owner who laugh at the fans up their sleeves. That's what I don't want even to hear.

Yes but even Hitler (not reknowned for his tactics) wouldn't have started Cleverly!

No, he is not Hitler but if it was a question of simply being "not very good at his job" he would not arouse such anger.   He is appallingly useless at his job and makes himself even harder to endure by being an appallingly bad manager who is full of bullshit.

As the war in the East showed Hitler had quite a solid defence but rather a blunt attack when up against a decent side. His team ended up spending a lot of time camped in its own half, dropping back deeper and deeper towards its own goal line, having made a good start to the game but failing to kill it off while on top.
