Knowing us, no one would ever beat that record either.

In the short term we just need a decent coaching team. I'm assuming RL won't pull the trigger on Lambert now but Fox can insist on greater demarcation of roles between Lambert and the coach, to limit the former's effect on the team's match day performance.

Yes. We have no assistant and the two Marshalls.... one is a keeper coach and the other was promoted from Norwich youth to run our main team, not enough experience at all. That's another failing of Lambert, his backroom is fucking crap, the Keane appointment a spur of the moment oh he will do kind of thing. No thought process or planning just the usual stab in the dark shit he comes up with on match days. He's a gorm and his team and Captain represent him perfectly, thick, gormless, boring and repetitive.

If we go down we'll do a Forest, Leeds, Wednesday etc.... gone for a long while. I have no faith in this current setup at all.

Lambert's last roll of the dice is to play the 'do the opposite that I say' game. You never know it may actually work.

I'm says that the fans who continue to support Lamber-  the "Lambert Apologists" deserve relegation. I'll stand firm by this.

We're all pissed off, but this is bullshit.
It is.

And just as it was last time it was brought up a couple of days ago, it is a tone that isn't going to be accepted on this site.

This is what I fear. There will be no magical one season in The Championship where we loose the dead wood and spring back leaner and more efficient. When we go down we will stay down, crowds will fall further and the rotting smell that envelopes this club will be ten times worse.

Relegation can never be a good thing. We must stay in this league. That's the sum of our ambition with the current set-up. Great eh?

Lamberts problem is that he keeps trying the same thing week after week hoping it will come off. If the master plan is to have attacking fullbacks delivering quality crosses he needs fullbacks that can attack and cross well. We don't have those players and as such he should adapt the system to the strengths of the players he has. This is one thing he has never done. Starting with 4 central midfielders yesterday after crying for creativity was beyond belief and I am amazed the crowd took it so well.

I've usually found myself defending Lambert on this thread as I don't think that he's all bad. His ability to spot a play is, despite a few misses, quite good. I'd also say that he has a certain capability to devise a game plan; witness the number of times we have managed a good result against the top teams.

Perhaps the most important ability of a football manager is the ability to bring in and lead a capable coaching team. In this department Lambert seems to be desperately lacking. If he had been able to do this, he would have probably been good enough to be Aston Villa manager.

If we were to sack him -- and ideally I would like to see him gone, if only for our ridiculous "goals for" column -- the club should have a good plan for what to do next. I'm not sure that it has.

Something there about the definition of insanity?
And short of booing from the kick-off, there's not much we could do about it.

I've said it before, he's the General Haig of football tactics.

He tries plan A for months on end then jumps to plan Z for a while. Then back to plan A.
