The aim of the protest was most definitely wrong. If it had been against Lambert, it might have got a better response. Protesting against Randy's 8 years in charge was ill thought out.

Lambert 4/1 second favourite to be the next manager sacked.  Let's hope that Redknapp goes soon and the odds plummet.

Oh it's all utterly hopeless. Lambert has been a complete and utter failure when it comes to managing the team. He should have been fired two years ago, but Lerner seems to be determined to relegate us through negligence.

Maybe if we do drop, then someone would spy the opportunity to buy us on the cheap... although becoming Leeds would be more likely I fear.

I'm says that the fans who continue to support Lamber-  the "Lambert Apologists" deserve relegation. I'll stand firm by this.

We're all pissed off, but this is bullshit.
Not as much bullshit as what I hear from people still trying to justyfy backing him.

In order to get rid of Lambert, the message has to get through to Lerner. I would have thought this was fairly obvious. Only he can wield the axe. He has to wake up, and fast.

The protest was pathetic, but it wasn't the aim that was wrong, it was the execution. Banners and placards have been effective before, and can be effective again. Whatever you do to protest, it has to have minimal impact on people's matchday routine, and a clear message, otherwise they won't participate. Hold up a placard: easy. Then throw it away and support the team.

WAKE UP RANDY: LAMBERT OUT!

How much more simple can it be?

A well known former player or manager coming out in the media and telling a few home truths would really turn the screw.  It's become clear over the past couple of seasons that the hierarchy at the club have a fairly dim view of the fans (I remember Faulkner's dismissive comment that "everyone's an expert" in an interview) so all I can see fan protests achieving is adding to the "us vs. them" attitude which seems to be prevalent.

If a fairly big name ex-player or manager were to point out in the media that the fans have in fact been very patient and that Lambert is underachieving with the players he has at his disposal, then it might register.

Lerner it seems to me has brought into its all about money line Lambert has peddled.Sure money is important and we have not spent that much but a good manager given time , which Lambert has had plenty of should be able to put together a decent side. This of scoring issue is not new , it goes back to the back end of last season in the league and its been there the whole time in cup games.

That team yesterday was a joke make no mistake about that and was as bad a selection as AMC and his 2 fullbacks against Spurs. It was a selection made out of fear and it got what it deserved.Liverpool have been dodgy at the back all season and yet instead of exploiting this we went for a containment selection.Which went it went wrong left us a mountain to climb , a mountain being a 1 goal deficit !!

Half the season gona and AGAIN the fullbacks are expected to do it all them selves. When is it going to click to him its not working !!Benteke is marked out of every game as the opposition just surround him as they know there is little goal threat anywhere else.

Yep.  I think relegation would signal the end of the little interest Lerner has left and we would be in real trouble.

To go 5 games without scoring is pretty bad.
To do it twice, IN THE SAME SEASON, is fucking crimina!!

Our last 38 games.

W 9  D 9 L 20  F  24  A  54   36 pts!

Last two seasons combined so far - 60 games

W 15 D 17 L 30  F 50 A 76  60 pts.

Dreadful.

In the last week or so Hendrie and Teale have been quite outspoken. Taylor hints at it but is hamstrung by his position. Andy Gray has chipped in, as has Darren Bent. His support is the football community is waining

Another point, I'm not sure it's possible or if anyone has monitored this but id be keen to know the percentages of this poll every time it has been reset.
I'd imagine the yes vote has gone up by 3-4% every time, how long before the final few people cave in?

This is where the 8/82 protest went wrong. The protest should have been firmly aimed at Lambert.

Yes we all know Lerner needs to go, but let's get things into perspective: it's going to be much easier for the fans to get rid of the manager than the owner. Unless some fans know a few multi-billionaires.

Sure but then what - getting rid of the symptom wont fix the cause. It'll make you feel better for a few months only until the same underlying problem returns
