A muted protest would have sounded even quieter from another continent. Lerner doesn't care, and he's not around to hear the perfectly reasonable arguments regarding getting shut of the worst manager I've seen at Aston Villa. Just like winning the cup, I've given up thinking I'm going to see the club be anything other than a pale imitation of its former self.

And I'm not trying to start a fight, but who keeps voting to keep him in? What are you seeing that all these other people aren't?

Under another regime, Lambert has done so many things to warrant a walk around Doug's rose garden, there would now be a groove worn in a Little Aston lawn.

Doug and Paul would have worn the earth down so much it would be like a movie version of a Jules Verne novel. Starring Doug McClure fighting cavemen and dinosaurs.

He is good at finding players. Gil looks like another cracking find, and Sanchez impressed me again (mostly), along with Westwood, who I felt was unlucky to get subbed off. However, you can be as good at finding players as you like - if you don't know how to use them, it's no good. It's like being a world class chef who doesn't know how to use a fork.

Surely it's at the point now where it's not even about half decent performances and it's got to be wins. Over a hundred games in charge and he's basically started again tactics wise. Nothing up to this point has meant anything.

I wonder if Doug has sent Randy a text recently... 'You can sack him you know....'

The time for a walk around the rose garden is long gone and the and it is the wood shed which now beckons the hapless Lambo.

Don't you know the best managers are flexible when it comes to tactics? Admittedly this is usually game to game or during a game as opposed to changing tactics once every six to twelve months.

I recall collymore reckoning Pulis was 'sounded out' by the club during our last and recent horror run. I cling to the faint hope that other replacements are also being sounded out. I think this week is the last chance to make a managerial change if we have any desire as a club to survive. Lerner can't be that much of a risk tacker can he? When we go down the losses he will make will be substantial.
Don't get the line of thinking that just because Lambert has a long contract he won't be sacked. How much is he on per year? Paying him off is only like losing money on a crap player purchase and we do plenty of that.
Come on Lerner, give us the one thing that we all need as fans, hope! It might not work but to just do nothing is unbelievable.
Probably Ian Holloway.  Randy likes people with experience.

Failing that Appy Arry will be available soon. Can't wait.

Yup, we need to keep the scouts when we get rid of him, they've done a great job in finding the likes of Sanchez and Gil.

Who are the three people that still want him? Are they escapee's from the local asylum? What do they possibly need in a boss as poor as this one?

We need to make a change. We also have an ideal window of opportunity. After Arsenal and Chelsea we have Hull, Stoke, Newcastle, Albion, Sunderland and Swansea. You can't ask for much better coming in as a new manager.

I bet McLeish feels hard done by looking at what's going on

He did no worse but Lambert can spy a player at least.
