He doesn't walk away from a job ..well apart from literally every managerial position he has held.

True.

This made me chuckle in a "gallows humour" sort of way.

I'd be happy for us to sign Gil and Sinclair and not have Lambert managing them. Would almost seem the best of all worlds if that happened. He is making a complete twat of himself with some of the nonsense he is spouting in the press.

Perhaps he is more secure than we think he is. Perhaps he thinks he can say whatever he likes because the owner tells him he is bombproof.

The bloke is an utter moron. So now, our expectations are too high. Which ones?
 To score some goals?
To win some games?

I really don't know how lower our expectations can be.

When you are on 10ft of concrete, as he appears be, you can say what you like.

Blaming the fans is one thing. Maybe the beginning of the end.

Being compared (fairly) to Dolly by Villa Fans is an absolute Managerial Death Sentence.

Go Now, Lambert.
Go Quickly, Lambert
Go Away from Villa, Lambert
Go. For Good, Lambert
Go Now and you may get a job with a club befitting your perceived ambitions for Villa

For God's Sake Just GO!!!!!

Lambert's slowly giving himself enough rope to hang himself with these increasingly inane media sound bites . He should ask TSM  what happens when you really start to alienate the fan base with this sort of nonsense whilst playing utter dross. Paul's Bolton moment is coming.

If we fail to beat either Liverpool or Arsenal, and I have to say that this seasons Liverpool at home should be a winnable game, then we will have won two league games in half a season of football.

While if we fail to score in those two games, we will have scored six goals in half a season of football, although if we continue as we are, we will score one goal in that, which would take it to seven goals in half a season.

How on earth any manager with such an abysmal record can still be in a job to talk about expectations, I have no idea. He should have been sacked in May, he wasn't. The only chance we have is that he lumbers us over the line again in McLiesh style and he will be sacked in the summer.

McLiesh had a three year deal and was sacked after 12 months, surely for the good of the club, Lambert will be sacked with 3 years left? There is no chance of Lerner sacking him during the season.

Bournmouth in the cup is his Bolton moment. He may survive out right mutiny from the fans by losing to Arsenal /Chelsea and Liverpool but another lower league cup defeat and it will the tipping point IMO.

Keep hearing "tipping point" and "Bolton moment" but it never seems to happen.
Apathy has taken over. Apathy and failure.

I think it might come down to the Bournemouth game. They're confident and free scoring, and they look like they don't hold back when they scent blood, so if the game starts badly you could see them shoeing us.

We really shouldn't have to think like this, but it's the reality. If we were in their division I think we'd be struggling.

He has to resign
