So, despite the awful records, appaling statistics, piss poor football, and an general feeling of impending doom, the bloke is still our manager.
I think even his most supportive fans will say that he his lucky to still be here, given that football managers have been sacked for much less than we have had to put up with.

To be totally honest (and as hard as it is to admit as a fan of the club) Lerner and Lambert deserve relegation this season.  Of course I really hope it doesn't happen as I think would be a disater for us, but if it were another club I would view them as fully deserving of going down as it stands.

Why is he still in charge? It beggars belief.

Looks like it will come down to a few crunch games again to save ourselves
Sunderland a
Hull a
Stoke h
WBA h
Swansea h
Qpr h
Everton h
West Ham h
Burnley h

Can only see these 9 games where we stand any chance of drawing or somehow nicking a 1-0 win. Think we will need 16 points from the above

I wouldn't write any game off. Southampton away could be as easy as it comes if their season is done and ours isn't. Burnley could be very difficult for the same reasons.

Each game is winnable.

“The expectancy levels outweigh the realism, that’s what you have to live with. That’s the bottom line."

I'd like to say he's in the death throes of his Aston Villa career, I'd really like to think so.

When a manager starts trotting out this, the end is usually nigh.

That occurred to me as well. Although then I thought about the freshness of that new four year contract, and discounted this being relevant to us now :-(

Expecting to see your team score more than 11 goals in 20 games is so unrealistic.

He doesn't want to start spouting shit like this

Can`t believe that 1 in 10 voting on this poll want him to stay??!!....(perhaps a few games in the "championship" appeals)

Dear, dear me. All we want is to at least have a go. If this is the best we can do its time for you to walk Mr Lambert. If your throwing the towel in please let the team go down fighting. Three games in a row against our rivals and no goals and not that many chances created. I would expect more than that and I'm sure so would you Paul!

Aye, it's the 'So-called Villa fans' who might expect a bit more than 0 shots on target against the worst side in the league that are dragging the club down.

I think our expectations are fine. We expect to be slugging it out for midtable with the squad we have, not being in relegation battles and actually to be capable of scoring some goals. I don't think many fans have particularly high expectations.

Also didn't Fox say he wanted us to be in Europe in 3-5 years, we're absolutely miles off that at the moment even as a medium to long term target. So you'd think he wouldn't be too happy with comments of this nature.

He's definately not helping himself by coming out with things like that.
