I heard only rumours somewhere about a director of football coming in.

See that'd be utterly pointless. Lambert isn't too bad at identifying players, it's when he manages them that the problems arise.

If we were going to appoint a director of football, the best person to be it would be Lambert.

Absolutely. He's great at that side of things but he's an absolutely awful coach.

Scout maybe.

Making recommendations and nothing else.

Wouldn't want him anywhere near key decisions at the club at all.

Oh well, we can put our hopes that lambert is on his way, to bed now.
If we have signed this Spanish lad, lambert is going nowhere soon.

Bournemouth have twice played teams this season where opposing manager moved on just before or after v blues drubbing and sat v Norwich. Lambert could still go after we get dumped out of cup !?

Well, exaggerating slighty when i say "best", but he's shown he's ok in that department. Every time he's spent 4 or 5m plus, his signings have been very good.

It is just that he's absolutely clueless as a coach.

If the key job of a DoF is to identify and sign players, then he'd be quite suited at it.

I can't believe anyone thought he was going to get sacked. Have you forgotten the new contract two or three months ago?

If he is staying (and believe me, I would much, much rather he wasn't) then I'd prefer him to spend some money in the transfer market than just persist with that fucking awful Agbonlahor / Weimann thing he loves so much.

Think I'm just going to accept he's staying and try and move on with life. Fucking hell.

There seems little doubt he is staying for a while, so while he is I want us to spend some fucking money, sign some players better than the fuckers getting picked every week, win some fucking games and score some fucking goals.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand breath.

If Lambert gets any success whatsoever from the players acquired during this transfer window he'll be here for a while yet. It's a good thing and it's not if you know what I mean.
