Today it looked to me like the players aren't fighting for him, and he doesn't care because he knows he will get a decent pay off anyway. It was an insult to everyone who paid to go. If Lerner cares as little about the situation we are truly fucked.

Lerner. Fox. Grow a pair and admit your mistake. Lambert out.

I think I've booed the team and/or manager no more than 2 or 3 times in my life but I'm at the point where I feel like doing it now.

I'm more worried about relegation than any other season under Lambert. We will not stay up if we don't score goals.

He's got to go while there's still time for someone else to make a difference.

Incidentally, Brian Doogan said he was going to Everton about a month or two ago. Have we replaced him yet?

Still here  , he has posted the team sheet on twitter recent games  and I saw him talking to Brad by the players tunnel before kickoff against Blackpool.

He either left yesterday or early next week.

I've been following Villa since around 1990 (earliest memory)
Hands down thus is the most toxic I remember all this feeling! Lambert is making my memory of Oleary look like he was pep guardiola
The whole management of the club is a disgrace. However, short term, we need to make sure we stay in this league. If lambert stays then this is the year we bite the bullet. When that happens we won't even be able to say we didn't deserve it either
Worrying times!! I prey that come Monday, the news will break that's he's gone

I hope to see the yellow strap announce on Sky Sports news this week that "Paul Lambert leaves Aston Villa by mutual consent". Will be watching with interest. He's had his chance, time for bye byes.

Agree his position has become untenable . Lost the fans , lost the dressing room. Appalling stats (the important ones).

The boring one says we had 752 passes against Blackpool, for someone who doesn't do stats it's impressive he knows to the exact pass how many we had.

It'll be worth every single penny regardless of the cost

At our current scoring rate we will finish the season with 20 goals (19.90 to be precise). That is woeful and has relegation written all over it.

I guess he leaves with half of the salary he has owing to him over the last year's of his contract. Making the decision to award him a new one completely stupid in the first place. Also, he has to climb down off his high horse and admit that he's not doing THAT great a job after all, if he's to leave by mutual consent that is.

And is less than Derby, the lowest scorers in Premier League history scored that season (current goal rate is 0.51, theirs was 0.52)
