Well it's 12 points and I'm guessing from a roughly similar amount of games.

So I guess that's acceptable, probably form to keep a club safe.

Which is the main problem as it seems like the direction of the club from the manager down right now seems to be just good enough to stay up.  And after 3-4 seasons of struggling I think we should be looking for a little more than that.   We have improved this season, but only slightly, and you must factor in that the league has gotten worse too.  I always said that if we finished about mid-table then I would be happy, but there are signs that we could still get sucked into issues at the bottom if we coast too much.  Anyway, the question is, is Lambert getting the most out of this group of players, and the answer for me quite clearly not.  And I don't see any major change happening under him either.

From the owner down. Important distinction.

True, but it is a bit of a mirth than Lambert has not had that much to spend.  Maybe compared to others he hasn't, but it is his team now, and he has certainly spent enough for there to have been more improvement than we have seen.  Basically, it comes down to his tactics for me, I do think a better manager would be getting more out of this group of players.

what is the point of sacking the manager, he is working for a disinterested yank who,s only though was making a quick buck.
now he does not give a toss!

Crikey.

I think he's shown spells of dimness, too, but he is in no way dim enough to think he's making any sort of buck here, let alone a quick one.

Have you ever looked at the figures involved? How much he's written off in loans to the club? How much he has ploughed into it?

My criticism is that he's managed and spent that money really badly, but to suggest he's making a profit out of it is just laughably incorrect.

If he's given up completely as you say.  Why would he bother leaving the club with someone who has the interest of the club.

Well, he should do what he is trying to do I guess - sell the club. However the original point was that sacking the manager is pointless while Lerner is the owner, and that brings us back to the question of whether another manager might get more from the current squad.
