I thought we were quite good at swansea too. But the last two home games have been dirge

I didn't see hardy any of the Swansea game so I can't comment although I heard we were decent in the second half.

Swansea, just like a few other games recently, was like watching the baggies uner Mowbray, we kept the ball well and did look comfortable in possession but did absolutely nothing with it.

You're still focusing on the wrong thing, though.

The original point was "most disliked Villa manager".

The points about how awful their records are, how they were outdated, how the football was terrible etc etc whilst being undeniable, are pretty much irrelevant to the point he made. They are different things being discussed.

I thought the football at home under MON was fucking awful, for example, and I think he was a c*** to fuck us over the way he did when he left, but I dislike him way, way less than I do O'Leary.

Lambert to me looks to be from the same pool of managerial dross as O'Leary and McLeish, but of those three, I dislike DOL way more than the others.

Nothing to do with their respective records (McLeish had a worse win record than Lambert, for example) and everything to do with the personal side of things.

I dislike O'Neill more than any of them.  O'Leary was an arse, and is responsible for the most reprehensible crime, ie the introduction of the word f*ckl*, but O'Neill wasted tens of millions of pounds, and then he pissed off in a calculated manner to do as much damage as possible.

McLeish and Lambert were/are just rubbish managers, and so not worthy of being disliked, although Lambert is pushing it with the shit he mumbles every single bleeding week.

Agree MON was pure evil and vindictive in the way he tucked us all up.

The Guardian are linking Thomas Tuchel with the vacant Newcastle position. He would be one who I would like to think could be on our radar (that is assuming Lerner et al have a radar).

Thomas Tuchell, sounds like a name out of a Beatrix Potter story

Pure evil is going a bit overboard. He didn't kill anyone or do any drive by shootings.

To be fair after all the pelters Lambert and the team are getting about lack of goals, we currently have the 5th best defense in the league just after the halfway stage which is a massive improvement on recent seasons.

Just think how good we'd be if he could get the team to be good at more than one thing at a time.

While this is a positive improvement the game is essentially about scoring goals, and we are mind-numbingly appalling at the other end of the field. The stats don't lie.
