The saddest part is that there's no one out there to replace him. Even Pulis has gone.

We'd have to go abroad. Slaven Bilic and Prandelli would be on my shortlist.

Agree, if we were going to change, we've left it a couple of games too late, as Pulis would have been the man to rejuvenate .
Also, has anyone stepped up or been put in place as no2 since keane left ?

There might not be any of the usual names who get recycled to replace him, but you're saying there isn't a manager somewhere in world football who we could attract and who wouldn't do a better job? I doubt it.

I think I could name 15 quite quickly.

Go on then

Advocaat, Laudrup, Tuchel, Cowans, Gullit, Lippi, Sven, Redknapp (God I hate saying it), Pulis, Arena, Spalletti, Rangnick, Magath (despite what happened at fulham), Pereira (employed but supposedly looking for better) and Flores.

I'm not saying all would be a success but my point is that there are many available and better.

I put Pulis in because he was available and he would have done better.

In a big list of record breaking woe ness and stats from hell, all of which are hard facts
One thing remains and that is the only stat that matters is that we lie 12 in the league a full 5 points clear of relegation

You know the relegation zone that many on here said we were nailed on for
2 losses in 10 games is also a hard fact

My biggest problem with Lambert is his negativity, the entertainment factor is zero, that's why I just don't get anyone calling for Pullis (thank fuck he's gone to the baggies)
a lot of his signings are very good to good, I have no problem with him in that area

His tactics are utterly confusing, his loyalty to certain players stifles the team progressing, and in turn produces ball aching football for us all to suffer

But whilst we are 12 and not losing many games there is no way he will be sacked

The only club above us in the league who have probably a more limited budget than ourselves is Swansea,
the rest have spent considerably more,
it's utter bullshit to think we are way up there with the other spenders in the league we are not, we are grappling around in the discount department along with a few others who we are above and doing better than, another reason why he is safe at the moment

If Lambert was fired today I would shed no tears,
but his replacement as in most manager appointments is down to 20% intelligence and 80% luck,
There is no way Southampton knew that pottechino was going to be the big success it was a gamble a hunch that paid off big time,
I remember koeman was touted on here last year by Eastie, he was he was given a big long list of why Koeman wasn't the man for Villa,so basically we don't know shit
We just don't know how a new manager will fair, most thought Lambert was a good shout based on the stats

I'm not happy with Lambert or the Villa , the football is dreadfull, and there doesn't seem to be anything to get excited about with the club up for sale indefinitely
But Lambert has more than enough good reasons for the owner to keep him in the job, no matter what we might think otherwise

It's January.
More than half of the league games have now been played and we have scored 11 goals.
Just think about that.

FUCKING ELEVEN !!!!

The only home player who has scored in front of the Holte End this season is Alan Hutton. That's sounds even worse than only scoring 11.

Lambert has humiliated us from day one. How on earth he can still have support is beyond me.

This season's goal scoring record is I think the worst humiliation of the lot though. Just one goal at the Holte End all season is absolutely embarrassing and depressing. If he had any decency or respect he'd resign.

He's been the player of the season which is worse? He has looked good in all fairness. Sanchez as well.

Happy new year Clampy x

Well, yes. I would swap the number of goals they have scored with ours.
What your point?

I thought relegation was the thing we were nailed on for according to you over the last 3 seasons
the big thing that we all had to worry about was years in the the lower divisions

Now it's our goal scoring record, I wish you would make your mind up

That points are more important than goals scored
