10 goals in 16 games. If you look at the Premier League and the top flights in Italy, Spain, France, Holland and Germany there are 116 teams, how many do you think have scored fewer than us? The answer is, only 3!

Granada have only 8 goals in Spain, but have played 2 less games.
Atalanta have only 8 in Italy, with a game less.
Hamburger have only 9 in Germany, with a game less.

At least our manager is honest though eh?

Great stats, but you do need to get out more

Says the man with 9000+ posts ;-)

Over nearly 10 years mind, it's only 2 a day
Now I'm talking stats

There are no stats that support Lambert being our Manager except maybe almost half the voters on here want to give him more time, astounding!

File under 'Blind Faith'. I'd imagine most are desperate to believe in something, anything.

Anyway, the poll was last launched after we'd destroyed the mighty Leicester City where we looked good for more than 20 minutes.

I'm one of them and it's purely because, as i said at the time, you can't sack a manager who's won 2 in a row so as of the end of the Leicester game he had earned the right to see if he could record a 3rd straight win for the first time in over 100 games, he failed as most expected though.

With the talk of stats I have looked at the last few seasons to see where we were after 16 games:

2010/11  PL: 16  W: 4  D: 5  L: 7  F: 17  A: 27  G/D: -10  Pts: 17  Position: 16th
2011/12  PL: 16  W: 4  D: 7  L: 5  F: 18  A: 21  G/D:   -3  Pts: 19  Position: 10th
2012/13  PL: 16  W: 3  D: 6  L: 7  F: 12  A: 23  G/D: -11  Pts: 15  Position: 17th
2013/14  PL: 16  W: 5  D: 4  L: 7  F: 16  A: 21  G/D:   -5  Pts: 19  Position: 11th
2014/15  PL: 16  W: 5  D: 4  L: 7  F: 10  A: 20  G/D: -10  Pts: 19  Position: 12th

Looking at the last few seasons, we have at least been consistent!

The problem last season was the poor run we went on from December to February and the even poorer run from March to the end of the season.

And there almost seems a whiff of inevitability with such a thin squad and so many injuries, that we'll go on another shit run this season too.

Stats don't always tell the full story, but here they do.

I know wins change everything but we weren't great against Palace and we beat a Leicester side that had 10 players who were in the Championship last year.

I agree with this. West Brom are poor and it should have been a continuation of good results agains piss poor opposition. Richardson ended that hope, because of course we knew instantly what Lambert would do.

Now we go into Utd and Swansea, probably looking at a point at best and then we're looking over our shoulders again. We're still a shit side who will likely end up around 15th again. I think that's our lot in life now. 11th was nice while it lasted.

I'm hoping Bournemouth and Brentford get promoted. Should help fill 2 of the 2015-16 berths

I think that’s a bit misleading. Even with 11 men, Leicester were lucky their keeper played so well, otherwise it could easily have been 4 or 5.

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear. I meant 10 of their starting 11 were Championship players....their 11th was Cambiasso.

As an aside, Konchesky had his red card rescinded - what about Hutton's yellow card ?

Don't think they rescind yellows.

And tbh he probably deserved a yellow for the shove.  Thats a yellow card offense right?
