We've gone on an unbeaten run without Vlaar and Delph. They are definitely replaceable.
Vlaar certainly is, and honestly I think Phil can easily plug the gap he's left.
Delph? We'll see, but Lambo's erratic transfer record and our budget mean we'll be taking hopeful punts. It's frustrating really. Ideal world is, that with Delph and Vlaar wanting out we could cash in and then have more to spend on replacements. It seems like they'll go for little or nothing, either Jan or summer.

Shows how desperate Yanited were spending those vast sums. How does that spend sit within any fair play initiatives.

Even random Brighton fans can see it just from watching a game. Nice words about the Holte End though,

Very comfortably, due to the amount of money that they make.

Well I don't know about you but I really give a flying one what Brighton fans think of the Villa team. They should worry about their own club.

I feel sorry for a club without a real derby.

Yes, when your "big" "rivalry" is with Palace, who aren't even in the same city, then things are bad.

What profit ? They only made £17m in 12/13 financial year.

United's gross profit of £146m was reduced by the £71m finance costs and paying off £48m of the Glazer debt, to an adjusted £17m

Most of them seemed to be doing it to score points over Palace.

Their spending relative to their turnover, especially their spending on wages, doesn't infringe the fair play rules.

In any event the Premier League Fair Play rules were clearly designed to protect Man United and the closed shop at the top from further competition so it is hardly surprising that they have a clear run. The other clubs who voted in favour, like turkeys voting in favour of Christmas, only did so because of the spectre of clubs like Man U and Liverpool negotiating individual TV deals.

My opinion as well. Delph for me doesn't score enough, doesn't create and his tackling is still terrible. I like his drive but there are many players abroad I think we could get in the £4-5m range who can do the job.

Vlaar, his injuries are stacking up and we don't look more solid with him in the side, he's definitely not a natural leader for me. I'd be cashing him in in January should a decent offer come in.

Benteke on the other hand is the real deal. We've got to get £20m+ when he goes and he can't be replaced by a speculative punt. Without him in the side we are utter shit.

Re Delph he is the only midfielder in our squad that can run with the ball, is comfortable on the ball under pressure and has genuine pace. Delph is a very good counter attacking player. Compared to our other options he is miles better to be honest. I think he would be a big loss

Delph needs to be replaced with a very similar player.

Think about a mix of cleverly and Westwood - that's what we'll get

Mixing them two together is the equivalent of mixing black with black.
