Well if it is Keane falling out with players just like the last two plonkers, it beggars the question yet again, just WTF does Lambert do? These misdemeanors all occur on his watch, he seems to be bulletproof.

Lerner must pay him a tenner a week

Tonight in the E&S Lambert is quoted as saying whilst discussing why he let Bent go out on loan. "Charles N'Zogbia is playing pretty decently and Joe Cole is nearly fully fit"

Charles N'Zogbia is dreadful. I think we can all agree on that. Joe Cole 'nearly fully fit' .Christ how much longer does he want?

I am more than a little concerned about Lambert's state of mind.

And that's too much.

Clearly, Lambert is so willing to put up with Lerner's shit that Lerner won't sack him. Why should he? More fool Lambert. I'm so sick of the shit we as fans have to endure.

There has only been one time when Lambert appeared to be delivering, the end of the first season and the run that got us to safety.
Since then he has been a disaster with the odd great result against top teams over shadowed by horrible cup and league defeats and sometimes humiliation.

It pissed it down the last time. Weasel boy made his bandy legged debut if I recall in a 1-1 draw.

My only other visit was under O'Leary where guess what folks?! Aston Villa got knocked out of a cup competition by lower league shite.

Lambert gets hit by that stick a lot, and rightly so, but we've been a load of old shite against most lower league sides for years.

Tranmere in the first leg, Bolton under Little in the FA Cup in there, we lost to Leicester under O'Neill when Megson was in charge of them, Burnley and Doncaster with O'Leary, Sheffield Wednesday under Taylor... it just goes on and on and on and on.

Can't remember losing in FA cup to Bolton on Little's watch. We did under BFR. Late Stubbs free kick.

As much as there's a bunch of reasons I'm really losing the will to live with Lambert, there are two fundamental things that stick in the mind

Lambert's predecessors didn't do any better

Villa now have the fifteenth most costly wage bill in the league and that's where we keep finishing

Where does it say we have the 15th highest wage bill out of interest?

I'd be amazed if that were the case with Bent, Given, N'Zogbia, Gabby etc still knocking around.

Cant really disagree with this tbh

I can.  For all Lambert's failings, he is no worse than McLeish.  The difference at the time of appointments was that McLeish was on the way down and it looked as though Lambert was on the up.  Things have not worked out.  The way I look at is that when Lambert took over he had to save a sinking ship.  As it has turned out, he does not have the tactical awareness to plug all the holes below the waterline.  We are still taking on water.

Just caught a bit of soccer saturday on Sky.

Tony Pulis is on the panel and talks a lot of sense.

Get him in.

He has a great record at Stoke but got criticised for the type of football. According to a Palace fan mate of mine, they played some great stuff last season.

If we don't, someone else will
