Well I am going tomorrow and if we lose I'll just shake my head sadly and shuffle off into the inevitable rain.

He's just knocked all the fight out of me. I suspect I'm not alone.

Right,  Cesare Prandelli has just been sacked at Galatasaray.  He's managed Roma, Fiorentina, Italy at the World Cup Finals.  Best of all.  He is a self confessed Villa Fan.

If he is true to his word, and with the attraction of coming to manage in England you'd think he'd jump at the chance to come here.

GET HIM IN!!!!

I'm guessing he wasn't sacked by Galatasary because they were sick of winning 10-0 every week? If so perhaps we ought not to rush into this...

I think it was the Spurs game the other week which finally flattened me.

Prandelli's been an excellent manager in many different circumstances for fifteen years now. Not lasting long at Galatasaray, winners of the much-coveted Most Dysfunctional Club in Istanbul award, isn't too damning.

Its all going to turn nasty with villa fans soon , you can see it.

If he had gone after sheff utd , I thought he should have gone then. Then we would have said nice bloke ,didn't work out , out of his depth , good luck to him .

But now it will start to turn ugly , fans are starting to get abusive on media sites about him and getting pretty upset .

Its going to get horrible for Mr Lambert

Been far too long in the coming, I have everything crossed in the hope that his days are numbered

Over 4,000 villa fans going tomorrow, hoping it's a day to remember for all the right reasons , a win and a great atmosphere.

Wrong thread.

Wrong thread.

Its the hope that gets you. My big hope is that it doesn't rain, I no longer expect to be in any way entertained.

It pissed it down the last time. Weasel boy made his bandy legged debut if I recall in a 1-1 draw.

My only other visit was under O'Leary where guess what folks?! Aston Villa got knocked out of a cup competition by lower league shite.

Lambert gets hit by that stick a lot, and rightly so, but we've been a load of old shite against most lower league sides for years.

Tranmere in the first leg, Bolton under Little in the FA Cup in there, we lost to Leicester under O'Neill when Megson was in charge of them, Burnley and Doncaster with O'Leary, Sheffield Wednesday under Taylor... it just goes on and on and on and on.

It's certainly worth a phone call. I thought he'd be older but he's 57, born in 1957.. you know..the last time we won..

It's a more logical criteria than we've used to employ previous emcumbants.
