That we are even considering Tony Pulis is deeply depressing but not as depressing as the prospect of Lambert staying forever.   For us to reject Pulis would be like a dying man refusing to go to hospital unless he got a private ward.

If you subscribe to the Football On The Fone text service you'll have just received this gem.......

Paul Lambert defends his decision to send striker Darren Bent out on loan to Brighton.
'We just play a different way' (Sky Sports)

Hahahaha good one Paul, I think you mean game, not way.

It really is a sorry state of affairs when hiring Pulis WOULD be a massive improvement.
Bring it on, I'd rather be competitive than weak.

I just want us to stop losing and to start winning a few games.   It is little enough to ask.

Can't watch this without seeing the parody-footage posted here a while ago.

"Charles is doing pretty good" - whaaat?!

He really does look like a dead man walking.

Good interviewing.

Absolute clown. He looks like a man who knows he's done as much as he's capable of. We need to do him a favour and sack him.

'Joe Cole is nearly fully fit'! FFS it's nearly December. How much more of a 'pre-season' does he need?

He has turned a twenty goal a season player into a nonentity in three seasons that really takes some doing. He is right we play a different game now it's called  let them keep the ball and we will try to suprise them. I don't know of any manager in any league that could have set so many negative records and still be in a job, but i really don't blame Lambert, he is being paid big money and who walks away from millions in payout money.

I can see Cole turning out, finally, on the final day of the season, when we're already down, having an absolute barnstormer of a game.
Then getting injured and retiring in the following pre-season.
