On one level you have to feel sorry for Randy, he's tried everything recruiting managers.

He's had advice from possibly the greatest modern-era manager, appointed a respected (but dodgy ticker) European coach and he's picked one that the fans seemed to approve of. (Whether this was to please fans I'm not sure)

Where does he go from here?

The only thing that I'd say, this manager is the worst of the lot.

Spot on article.  The board need to be noted that we're on to them.  Fucking clueless chancers.

That is true but with the exception of Houllier he hasn't hired anyone who's had a clear and realistic plan of possibly progressing the club forward and a plan that was genuinely long term. Houllier came with a wealth of experience. Not simply as a manager but in the higher echelons of football clubs too.

The thing about Randy is that on the surface he saw discontent among the squad at Houllier's methods. Senior players didn't like him and his strict methods. What we've seen since is a regression to managers very similar to the O Neill mould. As if that would somehow see us head back closer to the top 6. It's been a disaster though.

What it all points to though is Randy's naivity in footballing matters and not having a decent structure at the club. He needs to get someone in who's not purely business motivated to work with Tom Fox, and a new manager, a set about a proper plan of action in improving this club slowly but surely. In terms of results, playing style, and consequently revenue. If we start winning games at home and playing better football, or even just remotely positive football we can possibly reverse this trend in falling gates.

We need another Houllier figure. GED didn't want a DOF position. But someone with his experience and nous out there might do. Someone who can adapt with the modern game too.
Then get a bright, fresh manager with impetus and modern ideas to work under him.

That's what needs to happen in the long term but I don't envision it happening under Randy.
Under Lerner the best we can hope for is Tony Pulis, who would actually set us up to win games and make us look like we've actually done something, anything, in training. If he wants to carry us through 1-2 years until someone finally buys us, I'm all for it. And it pains me to think of Pulis as such an attractive proposition for our club. But right now he probably would be.

Apparently from PL's press conference today "Charles is playing pretty decent."

Right, time to get the medics in......the man is certifiable.

He's been saying that all season and aside from brief glimpses in a couple of the earlier games, Zogbia has been utterly woeful.
Likewise Westwood is apparently in exceptional form. Form for what, I don't know. Form on Fifa? Form at tiddly winks? Form on the golf course on his day off? If it's on the football pitch then I'm yet to see it.

Can't disagree with a word you say supertom.   Pulis to repair the holes in the boat for a couple of years then somebody to sail it somewhere.

I had to think for a moment as to who Charles was. He means cul de sac Charles.

He is far from decent. Nearer woeful.

Yeah. It's the best we can hope for under Randolph. Until we get taken over by (McGrath willing) a passionate and astute owner then we're not going to see the revolution required.

Through Facebook today I've been I touch with an old friend from my footballing days, a Norwich fan. He's a good lad and growing up it was good that we was the only lads in the team who didn't support either Utd or Liverpool. However he's loving the fact that Lambert is creating history and breaking all the records with us.
He has even put it down to an act of God and Karma has intervened after we chanted 'Lambert's Claret and Blue Army' while he was still their manager.

I wish it was down to God and Karma. Sadly it's down to him being clueless.

It really does highlight how poor, bored, bad and desperate we are that we're even discussing Tony Pulis.
