Can't argue with any of that.

Nor me - we have no identity and apparently no strategy - rudderless yet again.

Just amazes me after all lamberts time , we still haven't got any creativity. You're not going to get many shots on goals
Without it , which means not many goals .

Simple . Mr Lambert.   get some bloody creativity into the team , you're had long enough and spent enough.

Good article that sums the situation up pretty well.

It's time I turned to drink.
Again.

Again.

Agreed, although most Villa fans have known this for about 18 months

It's the utter lack of any sort of progress or style of play that suggests that Lambert will fail. He will be fired at some point it's just a question of when.

I meant tonight Rudy, after reading my private fears in print. Mr Woodhall usually does a good job of telling it the way it is but it's too early for me to hit the bitter on Monday mornings!

Think I can just about remember the good old days when I went to the pub as a happy Villa fan, knowing I was armed confidently with lots of ammo to fight off the ManU, 'The Mighty Reds YNWA', Boggies and SHA "fans".
Even Pershore Town fans snigger as I walk past these days!

That article - which is absolutely spot on in pretty much every respect - is depressing. Because it doesn't seethe with righteous anger, but drips with the kind of weary resignation I suspect most of us feel.

You've got to be able to keep the ball before you can display any creativity. Our counter attacks look great when they come off but that's far too infrequent and it's our only weapon. We need to be more possession based which isn't going to happen with this manager.

Article spot on apart from the bit about us being run like a business. That should say a very badly run business .

The more of his achievements I see the more I am convinced we are done for. Can't anyone in charge see that we are only heading one way?
When we appointed Tom Fox I had hopes we were getting a man who meant business in a holistic sense. Sadly it's another false dawn. He appears limited in footballing knowledge and another Lerner stool pigeon.

What would you have expected him to do in the two-three months that he's been in charge?

He isn't an idiot. He's watched the games. He surely must see that we are fucked if we don't change this manager soon? Or is that not what Chief Execs do these days - act in their businesses best interests?

Purely as a business venture, Tom Fox must be keeping an eye on the poor quality of the football, waning attendances and lack of fan engagement? He's a CEO and a money man, even if he knows naff all about football he should be thinking about protecting the club. Losing games, losing fans, losing money. A good CEO would surely see the signs and recommend a satisfactory course of action. Unless he's another puppet of course.

Could it be as strange as they're driving the selling price of the club down a bit?
