Well Burnley will be safe by then so hopefully they will lay off us a bit.

Thing is that Southampton will have been watching us.

They will pull us wide creating space, their midfield will exploit the space and rip us to pieces.

We play a narrow back 8.

Hopefully their scouts fell asleep before they had chance to make any notes.

Hopefully their scouts will find Lambert's notes, think its the Southampton manager's notes, implement the "tactics" on the note and play into our hands by defending and trying to nick a lucky goal on the break. I still wouldn't trust us to snatch a win.

If they've watched us this season they'll give their keeper the night off.

Or pick an outfield player as keeper and just let him play.

Yeah, but will that be as a rush back goalie or a stick one?

Interesting titbit in the mirror article about him wanting to make 200 games, that we have over hauled the scouting system with a new guy in charge of it.

If he's still here in another 100 games time, when we'll be playing in League 1, I don't think I'll still be on this Earth. I don't think my ticker could take another 50, let alone 100.

30 wins in 99 games for us. That of course includes a few against lower league opposition (yes, we actually managed to beat some of them). 48 defeats, and likely to be 49 by 10pm tonight in the 100th. That's almost a 50% defeat rate.

Sure Paul, we'd love another 100 games with you in charge!!

James Nursey in the Mirror is as sparing with the truth as we have come to expect from him when he peddles the stock media line that Lambert has had no money and is a victim of club policy and writes the monstrous lie that "the jury is still out on Lambert with many if the Villa fans".

No it isn't. The jury returned its verdict a long time ago, not from "some" of the fans but from an overwhelming majority of the fans that he is not up to the job by a very considerable margin.

I believe that Lambert's contract extension was signed off when he went to America for talks. And that we chose not to announce it until the Liverpool game in order to escape fans backlash.

Tom Fox talked a great game about us being successful in his AVTV interview. Surely he can see what the problem (Lambert) is.

The cliche Nursey is aching to use is "boo boys".  He probably has in tomorrow's match report already.

First hope tonight is that we win but secondary would be if this doesn't happen that the crowd do turn....

The perception that he has had it hard (& is peddled by his media buddies) is massively frustrating, yes he hasn't had the key to the safe like the gutless quitting one but he has hardly been completely deprived of support either....it is HIS responsibility to improve the quality of the football, massive fail...please leave!

99 games, 48 defeats....PATHETIC!!!!

Hopefully that stupid contract that he was given will have the effect of being the catalyst that raises the pressure.
