It?

Yes, that inanimate mumbling thick lump of shit

Wow.

Believe me, that's generous - I despise this clown and that turnip on the other side of the pond who have transformed my beloved club into something I no longer recognise or care much about. Words can't adequately describe how I feel about them both

Richard, with respect, you say you don't care much then why do you continually repeat yourself asking the same question?  If there had been any managerial change, you would have known about it as soon as the rest of us.

Thank you Dave. I think one can probably deduce that my question as to whether he has gone yet was somewhat tongue in cheek and borne of the sheer frustration and desperation at what is going on at Aston Villa. Or rather, what is not going on. And I've asked that question, albeit it tongue in cheek, twice in the last two or three weeks which is hardly continual. The very fact that I don't bother to come on here when away working in Luton, a town that does have internet, is just one of many ways in which my anger at the whole situation manifests itself. However, every cloud has a silver lining in so much as the other two Davids don't like me coming on here anyway. So out of bad always comes some good which makes me feel better about it all!

Why make it personal? It just seems a bit unhinged to attack somebody like that when his greatest crime is not being good enough to get us beyond 15th. I really cannot understand anybody who can work themselves up to hate him. He seems like a decent bloke, much like McLiesh, yet ultimately he just isn't good enough for the job.

That's my view on it to. I personally think he should have gone the day after the Spurs game at the end of last season and I haven't changed my mind on that. I think the personal abuse is uncalled for though and unnecessary.

I don't hate him as a person either. Don't recall him ever dissing the fans or the club. Crap manager, decent bloke ?

Given what he did with Norwich and the bad luck with injuries he has had I know he has done a decent job.

Unfortunately he's just another one of these Owen Coyle, Phil Brown type jobbers. This is above him.

How many clubs have they got two consecutive promotions to the Prem and got to mid table with?

Then taken over a massive club, inherited an aged, finished squad, had terrible luck with injuries, no money and still kept them up?  In my eyes he has done wonders keeping us up.

Lest we forget most of us were pleased we got him. Sometimes managers just lose it. Or sometimes you get the impression their period of relative success was a fluke. While on the subject of managers who did well at Norwich but bugger all after they left,  Mike Walker anyone?

We have had injuries, but our style of play is retrograde and not in he least bit appealing to watch. We recycle possession too easily, we're one dimensional in our attacks, we lack attacking endeavour as we don't get the fundamentals right going forward. The home form is as poor as it's ever been, again this season we have won just one out of five, which if continues will again lead to another season where we win four or five and that is simply unacceptable.

The damning fact is that there isn't any hope amongst all that of improvement. There are no signs which indicate that we are trying to improve our play and results, but just failing to execute them. This has been the pattern now since Lambert arrived and his time has come and gone. He has done no better than McLiesh and should be sacked. Clampy probably has it right by saying he should have gone after Spurs. The away crowd really turned on him that day too and some of the songs would have been pretty embarrassing for him.

Yeah, but after 3 full seasons, there has been no improvement, he can't be unlucky with injuries all of the time. We a dodging relegation each year, until we run out of luck....
